QB Kyle McCord (transfer to Syracuse)

seems unlikely that you’d be talking about a Jaguar as
1) very few people would not know an xj is a Jaguar
2) fewer would try to big time someone with the “you can’t afford it” line about a notoriously unreliable, overpriced pos
3) xj, if a reference to the Jaguar, is an incredibly obtuse nickname for a quarterback (or anyone else)

You’re overthinking it. Play on a classic line out of “Beerfest”.

“$10 for an HJ, $12 for a BJ, $15 for a ZJ”

“What’s a ZJ?”

“If you don’t know what a ZJ is you can’t afford it.”

I simply typo’d CJ’s name. I’m not the type to be asshole.

I AM the type to miss the obvious, so at least we’re all being consistent

And no, never saw “Beerfest”. A movie whose target demographic is guys in their 20s that came out when I was in my 40s

“It's crazy,” McCord said on Monday of the opportunity to compete for the Buckeyes’ starting quarterback job so early in his career. “I mean, I think when you take a step back and look at it and see all the great quarterbacks and great players that have come through this program, then have an opportunity to compete for the job the second you step on campus is something that not a lot of guys can say they had that opportunity. So I'm excited for it, excited for what the future holds and just trying to make the most of every opportunity.”

The opportunities presented to McCord have been relatively limited so far, but that doesn’t leave him too far behind Stroud or Miller. After enrolling early, McCord took part in winter workouts and spring practice. He got his first taste of college football life before the summer where he worked to get better in the weight room and in workouts with his teammates.

I saw him play a scrimmage against North Jersey power St. Joe's Regional (don't confuse with Kyle's skool - SJP) - anyway - he was awesome and this was the start of his junior year.

Dropping balls into receivers hands 20 to 40 yards down the field. I've rarely seen a HS kid with that much accuracy.

If he doesn't do well in his college career I would be totally shocked.

Go Buckeyes
