Doesn't really make much sense to me. It's not like he is going to leave and become the starter at any decent program this season, might as well stay and see what happens at OSU this year. Sure the depth chart might look favorable at another program going forward if Fields really lights the world on fire but Fields hasn't even started one game yet. I just don't get it.

Multiple sources familiar with Baldwin’s thinking attributed the decision more to a desire to be closer to home rather than a concern about future playing time...
