QB Scott McMullen (official thread)

Coach, that's figgin sweeeet! I can't wait to see some of the statistics posted in a manner that's pleasing to the eye and brain. Using those leader lines (......) for a post with lots of data can turn a brain to mush.

Great Work!

No offense taken CltBuckeye62 the more stats the better! I've always liked NOBs stuff/stats on BNs. BTW, I was under the impression that NOB took a new moniker here at BP - BuckJim. Am I wrong?

I am also under the impression that CltBuckeye62 is the poster formerly know as CharlotteBuckeye62 at BNs. Am I wrong with that assumption as well?

Some may not have heard that Scott McMullen was signed by Philadelphia (Xevious did post it earlier). Philly also signed another good Big Ten player in MSU LB Mike Labinjo. I think Scott has a very good chance at making the team, although no more than as a third- or fourth-stringer.

I hope they both can last five years so they get the pension...

My wifes ex-boyfriend just finished his second season with an NFL team (first year he was on the scout team... basically paid to take a beating two days a week, and workout the other days... and last year he made the team as a backup).... he has yet to sign with another team, although a few teams have invited him to workouts for a shot at their team... for his sake I hope he can get on with a team for three more years, so he too gets a nice little pension from the league when he gets older...

If McMullen does make the team, even as a 3rd or 4th-stringer, then he very well could see playing time if recent history is any indication. McNabb tends to get hurt as do most mobile QBs, and his backup Koy isn't the sturdiest replacement. Good luck to Scotty Mac!

McMullen tries out for the Destroyers

Per this mornings Dispatch Scott McMullen was part of an invitation only tryout yesterday - along with Abdul-Khaliq from Minnie. Having an OSU QB would really pump up interest in the Arena league - as if they hadn't already sold out all of their games last season.

Good luck Scotty.
