CANTON A Saturday night crowd approaching 500 at Memorial Civic Center included fans concerned about the future of the Canton Legends.

The small-but-loud gathering watched the Legends win a 59-56 American Indoor Football Association shootout over the Baltimore Mariners to improve to 2-10 with two games left.

"We're all competitors, and your competitive nature takes over," said Legends QB Scott McMullen, a former Ohio State Buckeye who threw five touchdown passes. "Why not have some fun and finish on a winning note?"

This is a great idea! Everything looks great.

A suggestion I have is it would be great if we could keep everything about a topic on one thread. That is my pet peve over on some of the other boards. Would it be hard to add a topic line on top of subject line, so if there is a topic you want to discuss it would be easy to search for?

Elitist pr ick!

The homer Scott hit off of me in high school STILL hasn't friggin landed....

Reminds me of when Treg Lee imprinted "Spalding" on my forehead. Under the right light, you can still see it.

I believe I have a similar story. Let me guess... hanging curveball?

He was a hell of a 3 sport athlete in high school.

Nope. Fastball and actually a pretty good one, at the knees on the outside corner. He just went after it and crushed the damn thing.

I had only been in Ohio for about 8 months at the time so I didn't have a clue who he was....all of my teammates said not to worry about it (they knew about him) as we watched the ball ascend into Orbit
