QB Tathan Martell (transfer to Miami, transfer to UNLV)

Doug Flutie is one example. One. And he's extremely famous for it. Tate isn't Drew Brees/Russel Wilson size...he's clearly much shorter. And if you go with what he's listed at you're ignoring years of NFL combines that show the accuracy of college programs. JT is 6'..maybe 6'1" and when Tate stands next to him he's clearly 4-5 inches shorter with much smaller hands and narrower build.

I've got nothing against the guy and would love for him to succeed in our program, but history says it's unlikely.

I'm with you that he is tiny but if you are going to use history of NFL combines as the reason you are doubtful of the kid I think it's faulty logic.

He's had tremendous production at the highest levels of high school football. Urban Meyer has seen him closer than anyone and extended the offer. From what I have seen he has that Aaron Craft thing of being the scrappy little dude that finds a way to win...consistently.

Will he play in the NFL? Highly doubt it based on his size but can he excel in the Urban Meyer college offense? I'd say he's got a pretty solid chance because he can run the read option stuff very well, that is obvious already. Everything else can develop off of that if you can go consistently hurt opponents with the run.

and after his successful career as a college QB, the Patriots will draft him and convert him to WR....? :)

Just finished watching the QB1 show on go90, the last episode, Coach Beck had a eye opening talk with Tate, that I believe shows to have sunk in if you notice the lack of controversial social media posts since he's enrolled at OSU. Basically told him that Coach Mick won't tolerate and lateness, and will do everything to try and break him if he sees a hint of weakness. Also let him know that JT will monitor his social media, and be the man setting the tone in the QB room
