WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

Page 900...has anyone ever come close to that??
I want to say...we had some glitch with this thread too and another few thousand posts were lost to the abyss years ago. Could be wrong, but thought I remembered that.

One of the most discussed Buckeyes in the history, it's crazy to think about from HS to College to Pros. Still more ahead too.

edit- most definitely been thousands of posts split from here too, for various reasons.

Terrelle Pryor asks Cody Davis to avoid hits to knees

Defensive backs have long complained how their strike zone has shrunk with hits to the head and neck area now illegal. Those hits lead to penalties, fines and ultimately suspensions.

Entire article: http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...-cody-davis-los-angeles-rams-avoid-hits-knees

A NFL defensive back is going to tackle the receiver any way he can...

There was nothing dirty about that play....Pryor is a physical specimen....was Davis supposed to break his neck on Pryor's thigh?

I mean, Pryor did say it wasn't a dirty play.

So not a dirty play but I'm gonna use a cell phone recording of a TV to DVR a single play in a game, and then rewind and fast forward to show a "non dirty play".

This ain't directed at you BUCKYLE, but I was hoping Terrelle signed a massive deal this offseason. But he couldn't find one and actually settled for a below market contract with Washington. In fact, Terrelle went back to CLE with his Washington offer, and they offered even less with the promise of a long term deal if he could prove himself again.

Players in the league despise Pryor. His attitude had rubbed damn near everyone the wrong way. To the point the Browns could've signed him for the steal of the offer Washington gave him, and actually went lower on their next offer.

I want Terrelle to get Rich, because whether he's a good dude or not, tOSU made a shitload off him and he should be compensated for that.

But he seems like an annoying dude who can't connect with guys in the locker room and continually struggles with PR because he's pretty soft mentally.

Damn, the guy is a freak......just play football, shut up, and stop drawing unnecessary attention to yourself. It's literally costing him milkions...in fact, it already has. He should've signed a multi year deal for upper-echelon money and he blew it by being a teammate his peers hated. He needs to figure this shit out quick otherwise he's just leaving more and more money on the table.

Way to over blow the situation. He basically said don't go to knees if you can help it. This is literally nothing new. The players in the NFL all have a code where they understand everyone is trying to make a living so don't go for hits that can seriously injure people. It's nothing that hasn't been done before with all the dlineman complaining about getting cut blocked.

Also to try to make a coherent argument out of what the browns do is a bad idea. Last game they literally put a guy that was playing bad and complaining of migrane back in the game. You know in the new NFL that is very worried about brain injuries. Not only that but everything i have seen reported is his teammates ad coaches love him cause he puts in tons of work and tries to organize exra work with players outside of team activities.

Truthiness? Linky? Have never heard this before. But there's a good reason that may be the case. I really pay zero attention to the NFL other than what I see about former tOSU players here.

Everyone in the NFL wants to beef with Terrelle Pryor

Seven years later, there is an “Everybody Hates Chris” spinoff. Only you can’t find it on any television network. It’s only available in NFL stadiums and locker rooms around the country.

“Everybody Hates Terrelle” is spreading fast. First, Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins ripped Browns wide receiver Terrelle Pryor — “You a S— Eater to me, u really sucks,” Jenkins wrote on Twitter — then Adam “Pacman” Jones did the same, calling him “garbage” and using the trash bin as a prop.

Now it is Pryor’s former teammate, Brian Hartline, who said Wednesday he doesn’t believe Pryor is consistent enough for a big contract.

“If I’m building a team, what is he?” Hartline said. “Is he my No. 1? God, I hope not. Because let’s put it this way: For me, I want a guy day in and day out I know what I’m getting. You don’t know what you’re going to get.”

Hartline was Pryor’s teammate with the Browns for one game last year before being cut, and the two played together at Ohio State in 2008. Pryor was banned from Ohio State for five years after the NCAA found he was trading his memorabilia for tattoos, resulting in a five-game suspension, and also because he failed to cooperate with the NCAA regarding the investigation.

Pryor broke into the NFL with the Raiders as a quarterback, and made the change to wide receiver last year. He’s enjoyed a breakout season, leading the Browns with 67 catches for 877 yards and four touchdowns. That hasn’t changed Hartline’s mind about him, though.

“I’m very apprehensive as a Cleveland Browns guy to give out a contract,” said Hartline, who peaked with a pair of 70-catch, 1,000-yard seasons for the Dolphins in 2012-13 and made a career-high $4.8 million the following season.

“You’re trying to tell me with a guy that had suspect personality characteristics, I’m going to go ahead and hand you a bunch of money, then you’re going to work harder? Uh, I think I’m going to bet against that if I’m a betting man.

“So, I hope he does well. I’ve been rooting. And let me be very clear: When he was here, when he came in last year, he in no way, shape or form had the right mentality or the right ability to … well, he had the ability … the right mindset to be an NFL wide receiver. He left, got some work, changed his mindset, came back and is being productive. And that’s kind of where I would leave it.”

Had no idea. Thanks.

To be fair to TP, both Janoris Jenkins and Pacman Jones are known for getting into "beefs" and not among the league's more popular players - and Hartline is known to be a bit... opinionated.

Over the years I've been one of TP's biggest defenders. I'm just shocked at how poorly he handled his FA (leading to a below market deal with the Redskins) and how at every turn he seems to self-sabotage himself.

I just wish he'd shut-up and play football, and it seems like an over-reaction to what was a pretty mundane twitter post, but it's the accumulation over the years. He hasn't been a team favorite in any locker-room he's been a part of, he openly screamed at RGIII in the middle of a game and allegedly was making fun of him to opposing defenses to the point defenders were shouting at RGIII to do something about it bc of how disrespectful it was. It's that level of disrespect towards others that have created these "beefs" with opposing defenders. While it's easy to single out Pacman and Jenkins, he has an awful reputation throughout the league.

Anyways, I continue to wish him luck, and still hope he pulls in that monster contract he's been after since leaving OSU. He hasn't really found his stride in Washington yet, but hopefully he and Cousins get on the same page and then he can cash in this off-season. Unfortunately, he missed an amazing opportunity last off-season because of the league-wide perception of him being a pain in the ass.
