Quite simply - WHY ALL OF US ARE HERE!

I had the honor of being at this game thanks to a friend having tickets.

I leapt upwards with such excitement (I was already standing) that I dumped my drink all over the guy in front of me (there was only like 10 oz left, but still). My buddy quickly grabbed the cup out of my hand and threw it down the row before the guy turned around.

I cannot imagine ever seeing a bigger play again when I am at a game.

I gotta give Musberger credit for that call, probably the best call I've ever heard in a game! And I usually don't like Musberger (damn his commentating during the 97 Rose Bowl!).

Best Buckeye play I've ever seen... by far.

Yep.

"that boo you hear ladies and gentleman...is from the folks from Columbus, Ohio."

"The Big Kat! Rumble, rumble, rumble"

"Germaine gonna fake again....comes to the middle....caught on the fly....the Buckeyes break Stanley! 72 yard touchdown! This quarterback controversy is...OVER!"

"And the big fella Rodgers is rollin!! Hold on, there is a penalty flag on the field..."

"You can cut a snake's head off but it continues to live!"

I disagree. The '97 Rose Bowl was Musberger at his finest.
Yeah, your avatar doesn't indicate any bias whatsoever. :roll2:

Personally, I prefer Musberger and Danielson over just about anyone else. A game could be a dull blow-out and Musberger will still call the game like he's interested in it. He's one of the few commentators who I think is genuinely unbiased and fair to both teams. I know a lot of people can't stand him, but I don't see (hear) what the complaints could be about. And for as often as those two called games in 2002, they're like a friggin' lucky rabbits' foot anymore, so I'm happy everytime they're around.

"Touchdown! Touchdown! Michael Jenkins! Holy Buckeye!!!" helps take away some of the sting of hearing Keith Jackson's, "Goodbye Buckeyes, Hello Heisman!" crap.

vermeil was classic in that rose bowl game as well:

"whew...college football...no better game.."
"why those officials oughta give their checks to charity for that call.."
"if that's not pass interference i don't know what is.."
"its just too obvious brent...you cant get away with that in any league...brent:im with ya pardna.."

Holy Buckeye is just one of those plays you experience, not just watch. In a span of a few seconds, I went from "CRAIG! WHAT THE F..." and jumping out of my seat, to landing on the floor, jumping up and down, everyone yelling, high fives...just amazing. When he stepped up to throw deep on fourth and short, I thought our whole season just got tanked. That play was all of 2002 wrapped up in one neat package.

What a stupidly unbelievable year. Think about the Illinois game, Allen's endzone pick against Scum, fourth down against Miami...how many times was that team one play away from oblivion? Just unreal.
