    I didn't think it would catch too many headlines, but it should. Too bad. Ray Charles, listening to him sing, can turn any bad day into something uniquely different.

    Betcha he didn't see it comin'. OK, that was uncalled for. As said above, the man was a huge influence in American, and indeed world, music. His works touched millions of lives.

    As much as I love Willie Nelson I think Ray's version of "Georgia" is still the best.

    I wouldn't consider myself a "fan" of Ray's, but I have tremedous respect for his talents, and I've always thought he was cool. I know everybody's got to go, but it's a bummer....
