Rivals$--Williams talks OSU offer

Antonio says he is considering Wisconsin, Auburn, Ohio State, Notre Dame, North Carolina, and Duke. He plans to make a decision 12/4 and his relationship with the staff is the key factor.

A little surprised they would look to Antonio instead of looking at George Hill as an internal replacement in this class... but then again like you said Wade, this is likely more of a public message to Walker than anything else.

Based on his sudden rash of folks he started following on twitter (11W link- story is halfway down the page), he seems legitimately interested in Ohio State.

I won't lie I watched his film and he is better than Walker IMO. Antonio is BUILT for our offense with his size and his ability to make cuts in the hole is very reminiscent of Carlos to me. Walkers film was good but Williams looks stronger, he is just as fast and his vision is second to none. Through 6 games Williams has 1850 yards and 20 tds I mean just think about that. He AVERAGES over 300 yards 3 tds per game so he knows how to produce. You combine that with being 5 foot 11 and 220 pounds and you got a clone to Mike Weber. With Zeke gone after this year we will need someone who fits our offense year 1.

The kids a gamer and IMO I'd take him straight up over Walker. I really hope his visit goes well this weekend and if it means taking one or the other I hope it's Antonio. Besides we do good with running backs named Antonio.

Looks good but how about those defenses he 's facing. Are they playing football?
He seems to have great vision, and makes one cut and goes, tough, well put together, enough speed but not necessarily great top end speed.

I think Walker is a lot faster at top end speed. I do think Williams may have better footwork and run a little stronger. Can't go wrong with either, though.

Williams' school North Stanly is in North Carolinas smallest sports division, 1A(avg enrollment of each school 500 students)... Tifwiw, but he's still balldd out at various camps

Yeah, the competition is rough. If we're comparing apples to apples, DePaul's level of competition isn't much better. Both of these RBs are going to have a big adjustment once they get to college. That can be tough for some, but definitely not impossible. I can think of a Burroughs Bomber that is doing ok after coming from small school ball.
