He had a great visit and was really impressed with the crowd/atmosphere.
He got there early and went to the skull session and made the walk to the stadium with the team.

He got to speak to Doug Worthington, Alex Boone, MoW and Kevin Bemoll. He really got along with Worthington and also said it would be fun running behind Boone and Bemoll (saying that the "those guys are huge").

He said the only guy really trying to sell him on the Bucks was Brian Hartline.
They met each other a number of times and Brian really talks up tOSU.

He rooted for the Bucks because they had Antonio Pittman and Sian Cotton (both Akron kids like Chris). He said it would be neat playing with the Bucks because they are like "a family".

He is still split between tOSU and scUM and will take some unofficial visits this summer to get to know the teams better.

He also mentioned that his parents really had a great time on the visit. His mom wants him to be a Buckeye and his dad doen't care as long as he gets a good education.

C Wells made one comment that puzzled me a bit. He said that he would look at the depth charts a little bit. He said that osu is stacked at RB. I'm not quite sure where he got that from. If he thinks osu is stacked at rb, then he will be amazed at TTUN's depth chart at that position.

I think his momma is going to get osu across the finish line in this one.

extremely pro osu mom + neutral dad = advantage osu.

I would say that he knows OSU is going to bring in atleast 2 rb's this year along with already having pittman and haw in the fold. scUM is still deeper right now, but he may see grady as his only real competition in 2 years.

I agree that statement was very confusing. I mean Michigan has Hart only a freshman who was just named freshman of the year in the Big 10 + 1 and add a great year except vs Bucks, so that seems like pretty good competition.

wells will figure out the situation at rb up at ttun.

here's what we know.

-wells is esentially down to osu and ttun
-his cousin played at ttun
-his dad doesnt care. just wants him to get a good education and decide during the summer.
-his mom is about as pro osu as you can possibly get
-the akron area has a lot of osu players on the roster, and is pro osu
-his conditioning coach has ties to osu
-he just witnessed the best ttun whooping from osu in some time

i honestly think his momma wins out.

Chris is another of those in-state guys we've got to have. It'd be so painful to see him have a good game against us in The Game. Hopefully we won't have to worry about that. I'm so glad we beat Mich for TG2.. he really took away all of their fight with that punt return!

OSU now has a nice lead  for him now. but, scum is still in there

I know the coaches at garfield and he will be a rb .All those coaches were telling me he would start from day one at OSU saying he's a step faster than Pittman with great size which, is 6'2 225 now

When I first saw him play I thought, for sure he would be a LB but, as the season went on he looked like a bo jackson type of athlete and I found out the truth and key reason he always got injured or fatigued to much during the game . It was that he wound always get cramps really bad I always thought it was a knee or hip thing. I'm happy I was wrong:)

Butch reynolds past OSU track and olympic star is being a big help along with his coaches love for the buckeyes.

In all honesty, right now, Maurice Wells and Jayson White could be out backs that we take... leaving a spot open at the RB position for this beast of an athlete. I don't doubt the "coming in and starting from day 1" stuff either. W/those measureables, and that speed, he could be one of the greats to come out of tOSU. He and MoW... with Pittman and Haw.... OMG!!! We may have the best stable of backs in the nation.

Maurice Wells is the only true threat to Chris Wells in the long run if he's as good as they say he is, and Wells would be a different type of running back so they both could see PT if neither emerges as the better back.

If Wells went to TTUN, he would be behind a junior version of Hart and a sophomore version of Grady. That is not a good situation, especially in contrast to tOSU, which I think sounds to have a little more going for him than TTUN.

Anyway, we'll see where he ends up, but I really doubt he'll be playing up north against us. He may decide to go elsewhere (especially if we end up with a gwaltney, and gwaltney is not just a Brandon Joe type for us), but it really doesn't seem logical for him to end up there.

Last I heard, his dad wanted him to make up his mind during the summer so we could find out soon enough. I think it was in an Insiders Premium article after the scUM game. He basically said it was between us and scUM and his mom is a huge tOSU fan while his dad just wants thim to get a good education. Can't wait to get him in teh S&G.
