RB Ezekiel Elliott (All B1G, All-American, National Champion, Pro Bowl, All Pro, Dallas Cowboys)

I really don't have a problem with prosecuting women who falsely make claims of domestic violence. I don't mean cases where the bruises are faded a bit, but where it can be definitively shown it was an act of vengeance on her part. Far too many women are beaten up, and any false accusation diminishes the validity of legitimate reports.

Exactly. It saddens me that anyone would falsely accuse someone in this way. Not as much for the accused, which does suck, but for how it also undermines the legitimacy of rightful accusations.

In light of the most recent news let me chime back in here.

I never for one second thought it in the best interest of the NFL to suspend Elliott unless he did something. If the lead investigator said "don't suspend him" and the NFL FO then said "ok, six games" then I got nuthin.

Never more glad to be wrong if this does indeed mean he didn't hit a woman because i just could never forgive that nonsense.

Hopefully Elliott cleans up some of the other bullshit he's been doing, and learns that you NEVER put it in crazy, and gets scared straight here.

NFL...what a fucking mess.

I would absolutely love it if it were proven that this was completely unfounded. Mainly because anything like this is tOSU veering toward the ledge that Baylor, PedSt, FlSt, etc. have already toppled over. If tOSU ever has a scandal even close to that magnitude, it's gonna be over between me and college football. Given this is my favorite spectator sport, I'd really miss it.

REPORT: FORMER OHIO STATE RUNNING BACK EZEKIEL ELLIOTT'S SIX-GAME NFL SUSPENSION UPHELD

"We are extremely disappointed with Mr. Henderson's inability to navigate through league politics," the attorneys said in the statement. "Mr. Elliott is looking forward to having his day in federal court where the playing field will be level and the NFL will have to answer for its unfair and unjust practices."

I read all of this and quite frankly, if I am Zeke and her accusations are truly false...sue her into the ground. The NFL royally screwed this up but even if the suspension is overturned, there is no repairing what this has done. Zeke has handled a lot of things wrong but this whole process shows why the NFL needs a review process outside their own "system".
