247 $ Drayton going after junior RB

2/8

By Wiltfong...Recounts his conversation with Stan Drayton, which was OSU's first contact with him, and his upcoming visit to Ohio State.

This kid is also one of the top hurdlers in the country.

Wow, wish I would have seen that film earlier. I have no idea how this kid is not a top 100 player nationally. Elliott is the best all-around back we have offered. Fantastic between the tackles, gets to speed quick, and I love how hard it is to hit him squarely. Smart runner too, he knows when to put the shoulder down and when to make a move. Above all, what a great pass catcher. I think Elliott is a running back all the way, but he is going to be deadly on third down as an all purpose back. Love, love this offer.

The combination of Isaac and this guy would be deadly.
I kinda see Ezekial and Ty both fighting for the same scholarship because they are so versatile and would play very similar roles on this offense... but you never know what this staff is thinking, especially with Diggs not jumping on the bandwagon. And besides, I don't know how you would say no to either of these guys.

There is so much to like about Ezekial. His high school film reminds me a lot of Jordan Hall, though E looks quicker and looks to be better suited running between the tackles. You gotta love the way he fights for those extra yards... kid has a lot of heart. Hard to tell just how good his vision is, but he makes great decisions with his cuts. Great hands too. Wish they'd had some film of him on special teams... and wish they had more film of him at DB. He looked pretty good out there on D, the few plays that they showed anyways. Love that speed and quickness.

Exciting offer. I think he'd be a great fit for Urban's offense. Hope he's not as attached to the home state as DBG was.

Agreed, very similar players, just different body types. Although I only see this going one way...perhaps if Isaac accepts then Elliott's spot is gone, but I do not see us turning down Isaac in any circumstance. Hopefully we have room for both though, love Elliott's game.
