I don't think anyone said anything close to "He (Zeke) is the worst human being on the planet."

I just watched this young man's contributions to Ohio State football in a couple of Youtube videos. If he had stayed at Ohio State four years, then I think we would have some ferocious debates on BP about whether he is the best back of all time.

How Does Ezekiel Elliott Compare to Other Top Ohio State Running Backs?

    I've got Zeke at #1.

This was the first time that I saw several of his runs on the large screen. Literally brought tears to my eyes. Woody Hayes would have loved him like a son.

I can't disagree - if I were to be contrary it would be that Hop Cassidy played in an era when the Big Ten was loaded and balanced. From 1950 until 1964 Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Purdue all won at least one championship and were in the hunt for others. He played in an era of 10 games a season, an era when OOC games were against comparable Div 1 teams - not MAC or YSU level teams - thus there were no stat padding games against teams that had no business being on your schedule - except Indiana - but hell even they beat ND in 1950 (!). For two of Hoppy's seasons the NCAA rules limited the use of two platoon football meaning players had to play on both sides of the ball. As expected, Hoppy turned out to be an excellent defensive back as well as the leading running back in the nation.

All that being said and setting sentiment aside, I'd still have to admit that Zeke was the better player, quite possibly the greatest to ever play at Ohio Stadium.

Yep--agree with everybody. Was lucky enough to see him in person with the Buckeyes in 2014; Rutgers and the NC @AT&T in Arlington. To use a cliché, the "Babe Ruth" of RBs!!! :urban2:
