RB J.K. "All Day" Dobbins (2017 B1G CG MVP, 2019 1st Team All-American, Los Angeles Chargers)

I've heard similar comments through the years involving Braxton, Wilson, Samuel, zeke.... if it didn't happen with those four established weapons it won't ever.

Depending on the freedom Urban gives Wilson, it's possible because he commonly ran the Diamond formation. Although, his variation included their FB/TE for lead blocking. Rarely did he ever have 3 RBs out there, though.

Totally get what you're saying, but I'm holding out a lot of hope for Wilson. As @buchtelgrad04 says, what he can do with the diamond and the players on this team could be a lot of fun. That's pretty much what I thought of when I saw the diamond explained... who does he put in the diamond?

I really think Dobbins is going to come in and push Weber. He won't take his job but I really think he's going to give us a viable 2nd option that can spell Weber. The running game is going to be unstoppable the next few years because I don't see how Weber can leave early (he's sort of similar to Mike Hart, and yes I know) due to his size and lack of break away speed.

Dobbins is a beast and at a legit 208 pounds he's going to give us that left hook to Weber's right jab

It's not about being a 1st round pick anymore. Weber will leave early (most likely) because he plays the position with the shortest career expectancy. If he has another 1,000 yard season, I'd be highly surprised if he stayed. How dare you compare him to that bike-riding loser midget btw.

Dobbins is truly his own style of back...he is plenty bulked up with muscle but can flat out fly. I don't really have a comparison to any other RB we have had in awhile to be honest, but I do think he will definitely provide another element to our offense and play right away. Weber is definitely a great back that will grind away at a defense, but Dobbins is a true home run threat.

Definitely need someone who can take the load off of weber and his 11 carries per game....Sorry dude, I couldn't help myself.

Dude looks like he has a higher ceiling than Mike to my untrained eye. Dobbins>Weber>Williams IMO.

But Mike has been in the system a while so I certainly don't expect Dobbins to cut into his carries quickly especially coming off injury. Will be interesting to see if he makes a move mid season though.
