For as good as his season has been, I still think that J.K. is overlooked across the nation, and honestly I think he’s overlooked in OSU history. I know the year is still going on, but I don’t think fans realize the career that J.K. has had(is having) at OSU. The kid is putting up legit legendary numbers. I hope he can close out his year with an NC and a high draft pick. But imo he’s the forgotten man between Young, Fields, and Okudah.

Agree. In hindsight, it’s not that different from Zeke in 2014. He was under the radar until the final 3 game run with 220,230 and 240. If the Heisman voting was after the season, who knows.

Agreed. Idk if because he has yet to play a full game, because Teague is looking great in relief time, because the team as A whole looks great, or what, but J.K. is heavily slept on. And what Zeke did and is doing in the NFL is casting a large(albeit unfair) shadow over Dobbins as well, imo.

Heard on The Fan that JK did not play the 2nd half at all in four games this year and only had 42 carries in the other six 2nd half games. Yet he has 1300 yards...and MT has 800 yards on back up. If JK played more, he could have been in the 1700-1800 range and could hit 2000!

I don't disagree with your analysis, but I will say my man crush on JK Dobbins as an Ohio State RB has been going strong since the day he committed... sight unseen. He had the proverbial "sophomore slump" but even that was a 1000 yard campaign. Kid's been great at Ohio Statel

A big part of that slump was a head coach insisting on running read option with Dwayne Haskins, as well.
