Gone in 16 seconds: Ohio State’s recruitment of JK Dobbins, its presence in Texas and how it already beat Oklahoma
Ari Wasserman 7 hours ago

COLUMBUS, Ohio — It took Urban Meyer 16 seconds to realize he was going to do something that could haunt Oklahoma forever.

Sixteen seconds. The time it takes JK Dobbins to run the length of the field and break an opposing coach's heart.

Meyer watched film of Dobbins and saw visions of Ezekiel Elliott, so he picked up his net and called the Texas high school running back.

Tic toc. Tic toc.

“I always ask the question, ‘What's your interest in Ohio State?'” Meyer said. “I can usually tell in 16 seconds.”

It wasn't long until Dobbins committed before even visiting campus, stolen from Southwest Texas and out of Oklahoma's grasp.

Cont'd ...

Really looking forward to seeing JK play again tomorrow night. If he has another big game against OK people are going to start talking about him as a dark horse Heisman candidate. I simply don't see the OK D being able to stop our running game especially if we throw in some read option. Another 300 yds. running game for the good guys.

Remember the empty backfield 3rd downs when we had a back like Zeke? That kind of stuff crushes my soul. You have to at least show the threat of a RB in those situations.
Same here brother! It hurts double for me knowing that our RBs our of the same talent level of some of the best teams in country, as well as our OL at run blocking. Yet in crunch time situations we use an empty backfield, or the RB used primarily as a decoy and have a QB run that the entire fan base and opposing team and their fan base know is coming. The MSU loss in 2015 can solely be attributed to this foolishness, as well as the 2013 B1G CCG loss to MSU...
