RB Master Teague (3rd Team All B1G)

If the late Johnny Cash had been in the vicinity of Ohio Stadium on Saturday when Master Teague III started left behind a wall of Ohio State blockers in the second quarter, there’s no doubt what the singer would have crooned.

I hear the train a comin’,

It’s rollin’ ‘round the bend

It was a stretch play with all hands on deck. The entire nine-man front surged left like a scarlet wave for the Buckeyes. Teague rode the curl, saw a break in the Indiana resistance and, powered by the rip current, sprinted through untouched, jetting away on a 41-yard touchdown run.

To say the least, it was breathtaking for all involved, especially Teague. He didn’t simply plunge through a hole, he shifted into passing gear and ran off. It was a like a flashback to some of his highlights when he was a highly sought back at Blackman High School in Murfreesboro, Tenn., way back when.

“It feels great,” Teague said. “That [burst] is one part of my game that I do have.”

I love Miyan Williams, but in the playoffs against Bama give me Teague's strength and experience, especially protecting Fields.
Thats overrated. Miyan has every bit the strength and has better burst. And Teague hasn't been the best in big games anyway. Not trying to completely dismiss the kid, but he's shown to be a plodder with little vision and hasn't moved piles or made something out of nothing like Miyan has and even more so how Trey has.

Very glad to see him back. I know he's gets ragged on because he's not the quick cut back that Dobbins or Sermon has been, but he's a battering ram and a really good 2nd back to have. The offense is also set up to feature him a bit better with different hand offs and running plays than last year.

Miyan Williams flashed on a few plays and might be the future, but Teague is going to be a big contributor for quite a while.

The perfect back is a mix between Master and Trey. Everyone forgets Teagues front line speed. Bama's going to find out when we open holes and he starts banging on the secondary. By the end of this game their back 7 are going to be sore.
I'm not sure it's true anymore but he was definitely faster then Trey in a straight line earlier in the season just no wiggle to make people miss

No argument that Teague is a battering ram, but his lack of vision hurts him a lot. Since a lot times he gets the ball and runs into the back of the OL, and also has little ability to bounce a ball outside or even veer when the play breaks down. That's his main issue. No doubt he can be successful tonight if the OL is able to dominate the front 7 and he can wear down a defense.
