RB Master Teague (3rd Team All B1G)

Too many mouths to feed. Somebody is going to have to wait their turn. Only 1 football out there. MT will have his chance down the line.

I just don't see him cutting much into JK or Weber's carries, especially after saying all the right things to get Weber to come back for another year.

And from all accounts, sounds like AW has transformed his body, had a great Spring, and is in line for a few extra carries himself.

I love how he runs and was definitely touting him in the game thread. The problem is, all 3 other backs are bad ass too. It's serious right now we could go 4 deep back there and have a ton of production. Awesome backfield

It always seems like you have more than enough depth and someone is not going to play until the injury bug strikes then Dang. You move up the depth chart.

Dude looks like a solid running back and I am very glad he got in early. You just never know.

Honestly the physical specimen he is at this point in his career is unbelievable. He will see the field in some capacity this season and will likely take the goal line and short yardage carries from Antonio Williams. The best comparison of buckeye backs would be Carlos Hyde although he's not quite Carlos's size yet and doesn't quite look the same as him running but the measurables are very similar. Look for mariotti to pack on muscle till it starts to affect his speed so probably 5'11" 225-230ish. Another good comparison would probably be Bama running back Damien Harris.

Re-watching the spring game. Really impressive for an early enrollee frosh. Can't see him getting meaningful PT this year, but next year he and Dobbins will be a great 1-2 punch.
I agree, but we have yet to even see Brian Snead yet. The competition behind Dobbins will be an interesting battle. But Teague has a game that will wear down future defenses.

Well, he's going to see a bump in carries now. All that mop-up duty is going to translate into some meaningful game experience his 1st yr. Now Snead has an opportunity to steal some carries this yr and possibly avoid a RS.

Snead will RS! Teague just got vaulted to our short yardage back/ goal line back! With no one else to power it in look for Teague to find the end zone a few times.

I'm not so sure that he will. Snead SHOULD RS, yes. OSU is one MCL or pulled hammy away from Snead getting some meaningful carries. I would not rule out at least 1 of the top 3 missing a game here and there to allow some bumps and bruises to heal. Hopefully nothing more significant than that, the trio stays healthy, and we get to see what Snead is capable of the following year.
