RB Master Teague (3rd Team All B1G)

Big time pick up! Elite athlete, as everyone knows by now. People try to slight him for the level of competition Blackman HS plays, but most of the teams they played against ranged from 1000-100 nationally, which is not bad at all. You can go on the Blackman Maxpreps page and watch him against top 100 competition, and he's still ripping off great runs. For the sake of comparison, his YPC, YPG, TDs, and competition level were all incredibly similar to Zamir White's last year. This kid can flat out ball. As I said a couple months ago:

Dynamic RB. The recruiting sites missed this one. Should be a top-100 player/ top-5 RB type of prospect. I'd take him in a heartbeat. Definitely one to keep an eye on.

Welcome to the Buckeye family, MT33!!!

The big thing is he earned the offer at camp. Those tend to work out well for us

Welcome to the Buckeye Family, Master!!

Love the way this kid runs the ball, love the way he conducts himself, love his measurables, love his work ethic, love the chip on his shoulder.

Love this kid. Master's gonna be a scary combination with Snead & Jaelen

I'm not a fan of the commitment videos so much. That said, wow. Regardless of his choice, obviously in this case for the good guys, he seems like one who has his feet pointed in the right direction and a good head on his shoulders.

Welcome to the family young man.

Do yourself proud! We know you will.

Congrats!

“His intangibles separate him,” the source at Blackman shared. “He’s one of the greatest kids you’ll ever be around. It sounds cliché, but he is the first on the practice field and the last one to leave. He cleans the field after every practice and sweeps the floor of the locker room after every practice. That is unheard of for a superstar upperclassmen and speaks to the character of the young man.”
Teague plays the game for a spiritual reason. “Of course I love playing,” he said. “But I also think God has been calling for me. He is trying to build my foundation as a man through football. He wants to use me to spread his word and the gospel to other people. Maybe do some type of ministry-type thing. I think that’s probably why I play football. … I play for Christ.”

His jersey number is an expression of his faith. “Remember that’s the year and how old Jesus was when he died on the cross,” he said. “So I was thinking that I want to just keep that number, play for Christ and make that number represent something.”
