RB Master Teague (3rd Team All B1G)

This is the Next Man Up. Kid looked fantastic prior to injury, a lot like JK's film in my opinion. Talk about a loaded backfield! Cant wait.
Loaded or crowded backfield, especially if Weber returns. I wonder how rotations(and obvious redshirts) will play out next year, because I can only imagine that from here on on out our identity is more of the run first approach

If I were a betting man I'd say Weber leaves. And should imo. Running backs should leave unless they think an extra year will drastically improve their draft stock since the wear and tear on your body isn't worth a slight uptick in the following year's draft. I see him as a 5th round guy currently, maybe 4th if he finishes like he's ran the past two weeks. I don't see much improvement from that, especially with Dobbins being a more studly sophomore.

So it will still be a loaded running back room with Dobbins, Williams, teague, and Snead (maybe McCall too unless he moves to H-Back, but I see him in no man's land for one more year unless Campbell ornhill goes pro). I also wouldn't be shocked to see Williams transfer depending on the spring since I think both teague and Snead are early enrollees. If even one shows to be a stud running back in the spring I could see him move on.

Agree that Weber should and will leave. From everyone we've heard about Teague it seems he will be the kind of person who handles his business right away when he gets on campus and should be ready to contribute next year if needed.

Re: the last guy (#32 overall) picked in the 1st round last year got: $8.9 million contract with $4.6 million signing bonus
See what all the 1st rounders got: https://www.seccountry.com/sec/2017-nfl-draft-first-round-pick-salary

NFL minimum: $450,000 (Year 1), $525,000 (Year 2), $600,000 (Year 3), $675,000 (Year 4)

I'm saying that Weber should stay and put together a solid year. The difference in a first round draft pick and a 5th rounder is in the multi-millions. Yes, running backs take a beating and it is a gamble if he stays; however, I think he is that good, and should take the gamble and come back another year.

Uhh, duh. The premise is that he won't go from 4/5th round pick to 2nd/3rd round pick (lol at 1st round). He'll still be behind Dobbins, and you improve more from your 1st to 2nd year more than your 3rd to 4th year. So the talent gap between the two should be even greater.

Yeah, Greg Oden should've returned to school to get better too... So should've Jalin Marshall and Carlos Hyde... Injuries happen, don't get injured for free when you have the opportunity to get paid. He ain't going to be a 1st or even 2nd round pick by staying anotber year. Like @UpNorth_Buckeye stated, next year he'll still be Behind Dobbins, and that still won't garner him to go up draft boards when he's 2nd string for yet another year

Him going off for a full season like he did against MSU will get him wherever he wants.

Yeah and him being 2nd string to a true Soph for another won't get much... And that's what would happen on his return. This ain't Cadillac and Ronnie Brown type of offense, Dobbins is the clear #1, backups don't go high in NFL drafts regardless of that game
