RB Maurice Hall (National Champion)

It's hard to hate a guy like Maurice Hall. He goes to work every day and doesn't complain a bit. The defenition of a team player, he did everything that was expected of him. Injuries plagued him throughout the past couple of years. It was great to see him break one when nobody (especially Herbie and Corso) expected the Bucks to win. Enjoy the crow Corso and Herbie! Congratulations Mo!!!!!

Despite all the injuries I think it shows this kids "guts" that he will leave this year with the legacy of having the most kcikoff return yards in the history of the program. Class act all the way, would love to see him top off his career with one more game winning TD (in two weeks).

The defenition of a team player

bingo. Mo Hall is one of those players that you don't realize his contributions until he's gone. Does he light up the field everytime he touches the ball.... no. But the kid just doesn't quit and has given his all to the Buckeye Nation. Playing last year with two bad knees just shows that he is willing to leave it all on the field.

Clearly, the fee just covers his costs to put this one on. And, he uses his relationship with the community to help shut down the Minnesota pipeline.

I know I am a Brookhaven homer in this case, but Maurice Hall is a class act. Period.

Former Buckeye Hall aids local alumni group
By BRANDON HANNAHS
Staff Writer

ZANESVILLE - Former Ohio State Coach Woody Hayes said, "You can never really pay back. You can only pay forward." The Ohio State Alumni chapter of Muskingum County followed that quote as they held their eighth annual Scholarship Auction at the VFW on Thursday night, with former Buckeye running back Maurice Hall as the guest speaker.

The goal of the function was to raise funds for scholarships for Muskingum County students who will be freshmen at Ohio State in the fall. Hall, who also owns his own business, Mo-tivation, is best remembered for scoring the winning touchdown against Michigan during the national championship season. He just earned a Master's Degree in Communications and is an assistant to OSU Athletic Director Gene Smith.

Mo Hall Mastering Sports Administration at OSU

BN (free)

The sky is now the limit for Maurice Hall who earned his Masters Degree in Sports Administration from Ohio State on June 10. Hall, who has been an understudy to OSU AD Gene Smith the past two years, has hopes of being an athletic administrator at some point in the future. But on July 14, with former Buckeye Mike Doss as the main speaker, Hall will conduct his 2nd-annual youth football camp at the WHAC for kids ages 8-14.

After a stellar prep football career that saw him win the prestigious Art Teynor award (MVP of the OHSFCA) when he rushed for 3,057 yards and scored 51 touchdowns in his senior year at Brookhaven High School, through his MVP selection for the Ohio squad in the Big 33 Classic, and on to an impressive collegiate career at Ohio State where he would go on to score a couple of touchdowns against Michigan, the highlights just keep coming for Maurice "Mo" Hall, who still happens to be the school?s all-time leader in kickoff returns...

I love stories like this...

Another Buckeye to be very proud of. Way to go Maurice! Your accomplishments off the field actually outweigh your extraordinary accomplishments on the field!

I love having a Buckeye to be proud of for his/her accomplishments. To me it is just as much a part of achieving superstar status as a Buckeye as is excelling in sports. It is part of Wood's "pay forward" ideology and what I consider to be an integral part of becoming a full fledged Buckeye.
I certainly wish I could have achieved what Maurice has insofar as living life as a Buckeye.

Amen brother!

I loved watching Maurice on the field, and this kind of stuff makes those memories so much sweeter.
