RB Michael Weber (New Jersey Generals)

I feel like this was the alignment of the stars Mike has been waiting for.

1) He certainly looks to be 100% in regards to the injured hamstring.

2) He benefited greatly from the directive sent down to get the tailbacks more touches.

3) He was sending a message to all the peeps in the stands and watching on tv from that state up north; don’t sleep on Mr. Weber.

He appeared extra motivated to not be caught from behind and played his butt off when he got those opportunities, whether it was running the ball or pass pro.

Great job!

Agreed but I don't think that's a wise assumption
I don't think he'll turn pro yet, because he hasn't shown definitively that his hammy is 100%. Yeah, I watched the MSU game (three times now) but hamstring injuries have a habit of resurfacing. Now, if he has another great year next year and has no hammy issues, then he could declare (he'd still have a year of eligibility after the 2018 season, so he'd technically be "declaring early").

Also sort of difficult to explain being unseated by a true freshman even one as good as JK to be honest. I think he'll come back for another year too personally.

I think he stays until he graduates. Hard to sell being drafted when you can't start for your own team. but I can definitely see him leaving early because of the short RB shelf life
Reminds me of the Antonio Pittman scenario. Good as a starter, but became unseated from a great freshman. Still had some very good moments as a backup. Went to the nfl and had a decent career

It was clear that Mike was finally healthy last week. Sure, the OL stepped it up but the burst looked light years different than the rest of the season and I think undeniably health issues were slowing him down previous. That was extremely impressive.
Yeah I don't remember Weber straight up outrunning ANY team last year, let alone Sparty. Dude looked like he shaved .2 off his 40 time.

Urb said that it was a shame to have his hammy gimp on him because of the work he put in during the off season. Frankly, I'm pleasantly surprised that he was able to maintain the benefits from his hard work. I wonder what he looked like before the hammy.
