RB Michael Weber (New Jersey Generals)

Mike put up 225 twenty two times at the combine...

Watch Mike Weber go through the bench press at the 2019 NFL Combine

Former Ohio State running back Mike Weber gets the benefit of being one of the first guys to be put through the paces at the 2019 NFL Combine because of being in the running back group.

He had his media session earlier on Thursday, then got to take his turn at the vaunted bench press. In case you don’t know how it works, a draft prospect gets 225 lbs. put on the bar and lifts it as many times as he can.

Weber did just fine thank you, pressing it up twenty-two times. Here’s video of him tearing it up in front of NFL types and media members.

In case you are wondering, that total would have been good for sixth in last year’s combine. Stay with us as we watch Weber and others take their turn at several events in Indianapolis through March 4.

And if you want to watch all the action, you can catch it on the NFL Network.

Glad for Mike, sticking around to get healthy can only help him with a good draft. Also should be beneficial to JK, who will only need to carry a large load for one season instead of two thanks to Weber coming back.
What a long strange trip for Weber. Remember the coaching changes right after he signed with us and those concerns. Seems things worked out in the end for him - which is awesome.

He's a favorite of mine, in small part because of the injury adversity he overcome, in small part because of his positive attitude to platooning, in small part because his commitment to OSU was a cunt punt to Harbaugh, in small part for his substantial, albeit by OSU RB standards not especially noteworthy, on-field contributions, and in large part because "Shit happens, bum juice" made him a legend.
