RB Robert Smith (B1G Freshman of Year, 2x Pro Bowler, All Pro)

Appears Smith is taking the fourth chair at the desk full time. FOX had rotated Klatt, Papadakis, and others in that spot based on availability. Will also get his own Sunday FOX radio broadcast.

Smith Joins Analysts Dave Wannstedt and Matt Leinart and Host Rob Stone for Pregame, Halftime and Postgame Coverage on FOX and FS1
Former Buckeye Appears on BTN Studio Shows and Hosts Sunday Program on FOX Sports Radio

Former Ohio State and NFL running back Robert Smith joins the FOX Sports and BTN college football studios this fall both networks announced today. Smith teams with host Rob Stone and analysts Dave Wannstedt and Matt Leinart for pregame, halftime and postgame coverage on the FOX broadcast network and FS1 and appears on BTN studio shows throughout the week. He also hosts a weekly Sunday program on FOX Sports Radio during the football season.

“I'm really excited to continue my broadcasting career with the FOX family,” Smith said. “I had heard great things from friends already at the network and can now see why. I felt at home with the people and surroundings on my first trip. I can't wait to get started and be a part of the team.”

“We are excited to welcome Robert to the FOX Sports family,” said John Entz, President, Production & Executive Producer, FOX Sports. “He is an incredibly intelligent and thoughtful broadcaster, and we look forward to hearing his analysis and opinions this fall.”

“Given Robert’s accomplished career at Ohio State as well as his NFL success, this became an obvious choice for us,” said Mark Hulsey, Senior Vice President, Production & Executive Producer, BTN. “He will be a terrific addition to our team of analysts as we prepare for the 2016 football season and beyond.”

VIDEO: OHIO STATE GREAT ROBERT SMITH BELIEVES MICHIGAN IS THE BEST TEAM IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL

Still, former Buckeye running back Robert Smith and current FOX/BTN analyst believes the Wolverines are not only the best team in the Big Ten but the entire country. Smith made the declaration Monday afternoon on BTN Live. Here is his full quote:

“At No. 2, I still have the Buckeyes. I'm impressed with the way that they were able to come back and win this game to show a great deal of resilience on the road against Wisconsin but I still think Michigan is the best team in the country,” Smith said. “With the way that that defense is playing combined with the way that they're starting to run the ball, getting that offense cranked up, that offensive line and the run game cranked up, I still have Michigan at No. 1.”

Still one of my least favorite former Buckeye football players.
