LB Steele Chambers (Official Thread)

“I've heard that speculation,” Alford said on Tuesday. “I'm not sure where it came from. It didn't come out of this office. That's not something that I've had any conversation with he, his family or with coach (Ryan) Day. Steele Chambers is focused on being the best running back he can be. I'm focused on helping him become that, the best that he can be here and we'll go from there.”

It would be wonderful if he really turned out to be lights out at LB
I (like many) was hoping that Chambers would switch positions before it was too late. With him being passed over so much on the RB depth chart, I worried that he'd hit the transfer portal. But he could make a dent in the LB rotation next year, and at the very least get some special teams reps. I don't see LB being a position that will be recruited hard in '23 now.

Love it and good timing. Chambers was a good RB prospect, but imo had WAY more upside at LB. I think this is also great timing, he has plenty of time to adjust and learn the position.

Chambers is a good RB prospect, and on the right team he would've possibly been a star. But at OSU, he'd be better suited at LB. And use the rest of his eligibility to show off for the NFL.
