Reminds me... I was at the Rubber Bowl in '97 watching the Ohio HS semi final between McKinley (Kenny Peterson, Mike Doss, Jamar Martin) and Moeller... McKinley's DL were all 300+ and huge kids...
at half time I strolled up to get a hot choc wondering.. "where in the hell do these huge kids come from?" .. I get to the stand and so happens the McKinley Dads are huddled together...
damn if they weren't all Dawands size.. massive men... "OHHHH, that's where they come from"

Ohio State Football: Bucks need to unlock TreVeyon Henderson

The Ohio State football team always seems to have great running backs on the roster. That was certainly the case in 2021. Both Miyan Williams and TreVeyon Henderson got significant carries and helped the Buckeyes have a truly dynamic offense at times.

The problem was that the running game stalled out too many times in important moments. Henderson ended up being the lead back, as he should be. He struggled at times to run the ball against some of the better teams, including Oregon, Penn State, and TTUN.

If Ohio State really wants to be a national title contender in 2022, they have to fully unlock him. He has the potential to truly be something special. The hope is that changing offensive line coaches will help with that, as they now have added Justin Frye to the staff.

Frye needs to make sure that there is sufficient push up front. Henderson showed the ability to have breakaway speed. He doesn’t need much to break off a huge run. But it’s hard for any back, no matter how talented, to have good runs when there is zero push on the offensive line.

On Monday, three young Scarlet and Gray players were awarded for their production this season when the Football Writers Association of American released the 2021 Freshman All-American team. Quarterback C.J. Stroud, running back TreVeyon Henderson and cornerback Denzel Burke were all named to the FWAA's Freshman All-American team.

With a year of Coach Mic time, this kid will will fill the few gaps missing from his game (as a true frosh mind you). Not a single doubt in my mind.

I remember when so many were worried about Dobbins not being able to break tackles as a frosh who had 1000+yds. That was not a problem by the time he left. Like you, I am not worried about TreVeyon's progression.
