If they aren't going to have potential to be paralyzed, stop paying them so much as well. Multi million dollar salary's aren't worth flag football....

Do the owners really think idiotic changes like this are good for the sport? There is protecting the players and then there is trying to take contact out of the sport most of these fall into the latter.

I love these changes. Soon enough lacrosse will become the most watched sport in the US...

Ok, all kidding aside and I'll admit that I played and coach LAX, but it is way more interesting than basketball... and it's almost as much fun to watch as football. These changes are just more pussification of a contact sport.

Mt son loves LAX mainly because it is quite similar to football. He is an 8th grader, about 5'11" weighs about 210 lbs and is quite intimidating with the d-pole. For him, since LAX is a spring sport, it was compared to baseball which, for him, there is absolutely no comparison.

BTW, everyone should know that the cause of this level of pussification in the NFL, as well as all pussification in other areas too, is soccer. Soccer is responsible for the pussification.

Crikies... he sounds like he's got a great frame for a long stick middie... in college. You just described my frame and I'm 40. :wink:

Best of luck to him. Just make sure that you teach him to not shoot stick side high or he'll be playing catch with the goalie. :wink: I've got the 3-4th graders in our park district (like 60+ of them) and teaching to stay away from stick side high and getting above goal line extended before shooting is one of the hardest parts of coaching these young men. LOL!

Glad to hear that LAX continues to grow in Ohio. We're seeing huge growth out here in the Chicago burbs because kids realize what a great sport it is. This isn't your dad's boring baseball...

Besides... tOSU can use some kids who grew up playing LAX and see only the colors S&G.

What really amuses me about all this shit is that the players seem to be against these types of rules, but are allegedly worried about the chance of injury if the season expands to 18 games.
