It's not really fair to point out all of the high-profile OL busts that OSU has had, as if that makes getting a 5-star at all other positions somehow better. There are plenty of busts at all positions (Sammy Maldonado, anyone?). When I made my point about preferring a 5-star RB over a 5-star OL, I did so believing that it is easier to build a good line out of 3-star prospects than it is to find a Doak Walker winner among the 3-stars.

I'd also like to add that I'd definitely take an Orlando Pace over just about any other player. He was an entirely different type of player though. It's not as if there's an Orlando Pace or two in every class. He was probably about a 7-star in relation to alot of the guys who end up being 5-star OL prospects.

The offense starts with the O-Line and it's a good pick for a 5 star... However, the parameters of the thread already conceded Boone, so I took a 5 star tailback. Having a great line is essential, but you need someone to finnish the job. I almost said QB... Almost. Seems to me you can win with an average QB as long as he dosen't make mistakes (Have I heard that somewhere before??? lol) Anyway, for me it came down to Sanchez/Shoenhoft (sp) or Wells and I decided on Wells. (Not the 230 pounder someone above wants, but from what I've heard of this kid, he's gonna be very good) I might have pulled the trigger on a D-lineman or LB or CB, but the roster is absolutely stacked at the moment.

Yes, all that offensive line talent and what was the result?

Ross- Injury plagued, but when healthy, didn't he have 6 straight 100 yard games?

Joe- Banged up all year, finally healthy in Tempe....Wow!!

Hall- Bum knee's all year...hope the best for him?

Guilford- Wasn't supposed to touch ball unless intercepted?

We didn't have a running game last year and the O-Line realized it......It's over...hopefully the lines and backs of the future will be healthy! Go Bucks!!!

I believe all of Datish's awards were on the defensive side of the ball.

Now that he'll be center or guard, he'll have a great year, count on it.

:oh: :io:
