How many 360 users do we have on here? I plan on renting it in a week or two.

I got to blockbuster 2 minutes before closing last night, but the lady locked up early (despite the phone call 15 min earlier), so I'll have to wait until a rental comes back.

Question related to interaction. I am a big fan of the Jedi Knight games where you can make your own lightsaber and choose to be a good jedi or follow the Darkside.

If you choose Darkside, other characters cower as you approach or run away. The opposite happens if you choose to be honorable. It's a little thing - but it was a neat touch.

Is this similar to RDR?

I don't know if people will run up to you if you're good, but you do get different reactions from people based on your Fame and Honor. People will react differently to you. Your exploits also show up in the local paper from time to time.

FYI, to those that are having trouble unlocking the Deadly Assassin outfit or other downloadable content: Make sure you put the code in exactly as it's shown, complete with dashes and uppercase! I had the same errors where it couldn't connect to the Rockstar server when putting in the code, then I read elsewhere online that you need the dashes included. Mine went through fine after I did that.

Once you unlock the Deadly Assassin outfit you still have to earn it, however. Win a duel in Armadillo, capture or kill Mo van Barr(Random bounty that shows up in Armadillo, haven't gotten it myself yet), solve the mystery of the missing townsfolk(I believe this is a quest called American Appetite, which comes from a lady near the Sheriff's office in Armadillo), search Coot's Chapel(I think you go here for Seth's quests), AND complete the Twin Rocks hideout(Should be able to find the hideout on your map).

decided to try to be a 'good guy' and hogtie criminals for law enforcement rather than shoot them, one of the first times I tried this, I hogtied someone right next to a cliff... the fucker rolled off and died immediately afterwards, whoops

how in the world do you hog tie someone?? what about whistle for a horse?

for 360 calling the horse is up on the d-pad, to lasso someone you have to select the rope (left on the pop-up weapons dial), lasso someone in the same way you would shoot them but continue to hold down on the left trigger to keep holding on to the rope, approach that person and press Y when prompted to hogtie them

Am I the only one disappointed with Red Dead? I think the story mode sucks and is boring as shit. I havent played it online yet, but if the online isnt amazing, this may get returned. Kinda thought GTA IV was crappy, and this seems worse so far. Maybe Rockstar is losing it.

I think it's probably that you are getting older and more mature. :tongue2:

This. I haven't been this engrossed in a game since Fallout 3, although I'm pretty sure Fallout: New Vegas will have me more hooked than RDR. Final Fantasy XIII may be decent too, just haven't devoted any time to it yet, my buddy logged 115 hours into that one within 3 weeks.

This game is seriously tempting me to break my video game fast and go buy and XBoX 360.

I'd have to go back and play all the classics (GTA IV, that one with the underwater distopian world and mutants, Mass Effect...etc).

Not sure I want to invest that amount of time into it yet.
