so I dont have the rope...where do i get this rope? do I have to buy it? there is rope hanging on the wall in my "home" but I cannot select it...any help would be appreciated

You get it during one of the missions with the lady who rescued you. She'll give it to you as part of her mission and it'll be yours from then on.

A couple of other funny achievements besides dastardly (where you tie up a woman and put her on the train tracks)....

Manifest Destiny - kill every buffalo
Heading South on a White Bronco - Evade marshalls on the Hungarian Half breed

Well, I played multiplayer for a little bit. It's terrible. People just treat it like a huge map deathmatch, but you get to see where everyone is located. The controls are awful for multiplayer, and it was not much fun at all. I doubt playing with teammates would be much better since the game modes are not that great either.

Glad to see at least that wasnt me. I already returned it. Will get it on PC when it comes out.

I finished single player, the amount of variety in terrain and locations in this game is one of the best things, you can travel to different parts of the map and it almost feels like a completely different game

The more I play of this game, the more I enjoy it. It is a pretty solid game. I traded in Heavy Rain and MLB: The Show and got this game for free. This is a better game than Heavy Rain in my opinion. The horse riding has gotten easier the I have played. I am not really a fan of the "dead aim" or whatever it is called.

Yeah, it's annoying at first, especially if you're running on the harder difficulty. If you're on normal, however, and if you keep the horse directly in front of you when you begin to target, it should automatically target the neck for you. I haven't tried roping one on the harder mode yet, maybe you can slow it down with Dead Eye and lasso it, I dunno. I've started the game over 3 times now because of a preorder bug, so I've gotten pretty good at taming horses and lassoing bounties

As far as the preorder bug, not sure how many people preordered from Gamestop to get the Deadly Assassin outfit, but theres a bug with it. One of the tasks to unlock it involves capturing/killing Mo van Barr and Mo isn't showing up on the bounty boards for some people. Rockstar said this is a bug that they're working on. People have found that capturing Walton in the Marshall's first mission, Political Realities in Armadillo, may prevent Mo's bounty from showing up. I ended up restarting my game 3 times looking for Mo's bounty before I found this out :pissed: After my 3rd attempt I killed Walton and Mo's bounty was the first to appear. The Deadly Assassin outfit looks pretty sweet, looks just like Lee Van Cleef's outfit from The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly plus an eye patch. Plus the Dead Eye regenerates twice as fast.

As far as the game itself, I'm still very pleased with it. I love the missions and the Old West feel. There are definitly some creepy/weird missions out there, some of the stranger ones are American Apetites, Who Are You to Judge, Let No Man Put Asunder, and especially Flowers for a Lady.

I've gotten pretty good at bringing in bounties at this point, I lost my first 2-3 for various reasons. I like to find a nice rock or tree when I get close, pull out the Winchester and pick off the henchmen for easy kills. I've found that the easiest way to catch fleeing bounties is to shoot all the horses in the area before you finish off the last henchman. If you can't take out the horses, shooting the horse the bounty rides away on is so much easier than trying to pull him off with the lasso as you're riding full speed. If the bounty runs right at you, guns a blazing, don't try to lasso him then either. His gunshots seem to interrupt the process and you may die. I usually shoot him in the foot with Dead Eye, although you can probably shoot the gun out of his hand (I've done that in duels quite a few times now). Once he's been injured, run up for an easy lasso/hogtie.

I suggest doing 3 bounties or so and save up for the fast Kentucky stallion that's for sale in the General Store after the mission "Wild Horses, Tamed Passions." Even if you're pretty safe with your horse, you never know when it's going to do something stupid like wander into gunfire. I've had two horses that wandered in between myself and a bandit hideout, only to take a barrage of gunfire from the bandits and it dropped my ride. If you buy the Kentucky horse deed, however, you can always call a new one from your satchel (Select key on PS3) if it dies, and a new one can be called.
