I didn't always agree with everything Reeve said, but he and Michael J Fox are (were) two of the biggest advocates for neuroscience research, and for that I am eternally grateful. I also admired his optimism a great deal.

Caminiti is another in a long line of athletes who died because of steroid complications. I only hope that, as more athletes like he, Alzado, and a host of others continue to pass away way too early, younger players and aspiring players realize the danger they are putting themselves in and back away.

    RIP to both men.

RIP, Caminiti really comes as a shock, I can remember watching him at Riverfront several times

Certainly steroids may have contributed to Caminiti's death, but we have to wait for the autopsy results before making definitive conclusions. One of the more annoying things is how idiots in the media talk about steroids killing Lyle Alzado, when of course there is no evidence of steroids being implicated in brain tumors. But that doesn't get in the way of a good story... It's just boring to say that Lyle died because of bad luck.

Is anyone else feeling a lot older after hearing about these two deaths? Wow, RIP gentleman.

You don't consider a pituitary tumor like Jason Giambi had a brain tumor?

    I do.

My uncle had a pituitary tumor about 10 years ago and the person who removed it was a brain surgeon at OSU.

Caminiti was also a cocaine abuser which certainly did help his heart health.

There's rarely if ever direct evidence that steroids kill anyone tibor, but do you really think it had nothing to do with it whatsoever? Should they be legal then?

His brother works for the city of Montgomery (I think) near Cincinnati.

He was going to take some trash to a dumpster or something and he found a woman pinned under her car dead. Police think that she didn't have her vehicle all the way in gear and got out the the car to throw some trash away and the car slipped out of gear with the open driver's side door striking her, knocking her to the ground, and the car then running over her and pinning her to death.

    That'll definitely ruin your weekend.
