Rivals/Scout/etc. National & Regional Rankings

Not without damages. Not saying damages are impossible, but, even if a writer quoted a kid as saying "I'm going to school A" when it wasn't true, what are the kid's damages? I'm hard pressed to think of any off the top of my head.

Yeah, a reach for sure. Opportunity cost at best and even then there's nothing to establish value.

FWIW, with the Gardner commit OSU is a Munford commit away from the number one spot in the 247 composite. This would obviously vary if either team adds any other commits or if any of the individual player rankings change.

Edit: This is no longer correct.

I love it. The ones that stayed or who were redshirts have that much more time in under these coaches, other than a couple. The guys coming in might be the best ever haul at Ohio State and that mixture along with the best coaching staff in college football - and I don't think its close now - are going to be hell on wheels. Let's get it!

How about this tidbit from Mike Farrell regarding OSU's class?

Here’s the coup de grâce of all my research: Never in the history of Rivals.com has a program landed a top five prospect from each of the big three states – California, Florida and Texas – until 2017. Ohio State has made history by pulling this off. Alabama and Florida State came close this year as the Tide had two of the top five in Florida and Najee Harris in California, but no one in the top five from Texas, while the Seminoles had Josh Kaindoh in Florida and Marvin Wilson from Texas but no one from California. The Buckeyes landed No. 5 in Florida (Shaun Wade), No. 3 in California (Wyatt Davis) and Nos. 3 and 4 in Texas (Baron Browning and Jeffrey Okudah). This is simply amazing.
