Louisville, KY (Trinity) native Rodjay Burns has submitted his signed his letter of intent (LOI) to attend the Ohio State University. Keandre had been verbally committed to hometown Louisville, saw the error of his ways and changed his mind. The 6’2″, 175 lb cornerback is rated as composite 3-star by 247sports and was the #73 nationally ranked player at his position. Rodjay held 3 offers; Cincinnati, Louisville and, of course, Ohio State. He was recruited by Kerry Coombs and Greg Schiano.
Although his frame is a bit on the “slender’ish” side, his height suggests that he can fill out by another 15-20 pounds. Fortunately, he brings 4.50 speed to the team, so Fickell/Schiano & Co may have some flexibility with where Rodjay ends up. He could be safety, but if he fills out to 200 lbs or so, he may be a very fleet safety.
Welcome to Ohio State Rodjay Burns!
