Rugby (6N, Rugby Championship, IRB 7s, etc.)

England just demolished the French in a beatdown worthy of the All Blacks. England-Wales is shaping up as the game of the tourney, and the way England has jumped out of the gate, it looks like they ahve to be the odds on favorites to win the whole thing.

Watching the England/Wales match Saturday. I agree, it should be for first place.
Def give England the nod although Wales always finds a way to rise to the occasion against the English on home soil. But the English defensive line speed against Ireland and France was just ridiculous and their kick/chase game is also a huge weapon. Mako Vunipola being out stings and Wales rested a ton of guys [almost too many] against Italy. Looking forward to it.

Wales is the only one I haven't seen this year and I saw England beat South Africa live and build on that in the first two 6N matches. Both are on quite a run.

We're watching it at Fado even though it's on NBC free later for the Guinness and atmosphere. Also, the English bartender only charges us one cover.

Don't let any of the English oppressors give you any shit.

Wales just played one of the best halves of rugby I’ve ever seen them play. Just superb. Trailed 3-10 at the half and ended up winning 21-13. Was worried they brought Dan Biggar too late but what an impact he had the final 20 minutes. Dominated all important categories...time of possession, territory, carries, etc.

That was a beautiful game of rugby. It was old school power rugby (Wales) versus Southern Hemisphere speed on the edges style rugby (England). When Wales just sacked up and plugged away foot-by-foot to get their first try was one of the most awesome things I've seen in two decades of being a rugby fan.

By the way #11 should never, ever have to buy himself another drink in Wales for the rest of his life.

The Welsh are still being jobbed. I just saw the new world rankings and they’ve only been moved up to 3 and still sit behind Ireland. Of course, the 3/16 match will decide that issue, but having just run away from the English team that hided Ireland, I think they should already be at 2.
