I have a question about an item being allowed or banned in the stadium for games...I figure the best people to ask reside here, so here goes...

Are digital-still picture cameras (not video) allowed inside for games? I finally got lucky and got a osu-scum ticket, and I would like to take some quality pictures. I just don't want my dads camera taken at the gate if it's not allowed inside.

Thanks in advance.

regular cameras are allowed in the Horseshoe. If they see a detachable zoom lens they will not allow it in.

I brought in the very kind of camera you are talking about to the IU game. small digital with the retractable zoom. was in a case. the guy at the gate never even made me open the case. didn't bring my camcorder because it says not to and could've brought it in easily. they just didn't check very carefully...

at Austin they made me take my binocs OUT of the case, take the lens caps off and they guy actually looked through them! is there that much booze being hid in fake binocs or was the security guy just bored?

And if they would've found anything suspicious. They would have shot you. Then electricuted you. Then stuck you with a lethal injection, for good measure.

Echoing the others...any "normal" camera will be okay...I've even seen some very nice Nikon and Canon cameras...as long as you don't have a telephoto lens or a bunch of extra lenses, you will be okay

I think the specific wording is a ban on "large lens cameras"
