Actually my cousin is a Washington grad and they think they might have a shot at Urban Meyer.

Herbstreit on the Herd today mentioned that Urban and his fam really liked Salt Lake and really wanted to make a go of it there.
I tend to agree because Meyer would end up with a bad rep switching teams like dropping a deuce. He should stick in place for at least one four or five year cycle to show how he can recruit.
I love Norm Chow to UW. It takes away from SC and adds a spark similar to that of Bo vs Woody. UW is a great program to recruit QBs to. I thought Chow interviewed for the Arizona job but was passed over for a Stoops. It's a shame that the guy hasn't been given a shot. I say throw a wheelbarrow of money at him, get an NFL guy to D-Coordinate and lookout.

He said the same thing about Bowling Green, OH -- 2 weeks prior to taking the Utah job. I am not slamming the because I understand a father needs to do what is best for his family, I am just saying don't believe everything he says...

Did I ever tell you about the time Norm Chow showed up at my daughter's wedding? You know my daughter, she's a beautiful girl. Well, Chow shows up... and you know he's a big fella.... goes about 7'8", 530. Well, he's standing right between me and my daughter at the ceremony. He's got no right to be there, but he's drunk and he's Chow! Well, long story short: the priest accidentally marries me and Chow! We spend the weekend in the Poconos - he loves me like I've never been loved before!

We will see. If a big school comes calling I fully expect him to take the job no matter how much he wants to stay at Utah. And the thing is with how fickle a coach's life is (here today/gone tomorrow) I can not blame him for moving to FL for a 6 year 2 mil a year contract...What will be interesting is to see if his convictions on the BCS (he refers to it as BS) changes when and if he is at a BCS school.

Nobody new that Meyer was going to leave that year. I used to work for the athletic department there. My dad works for the AD and all of my families friends are part of the trustees there as well. No one, not Paul Krebs not anyone thought that he was going to leave. In fact in his speech, he sighted that his family, wife, kids etc. were really comfortable with BG and that it felt like "home". He then was offered $700,000 or so about 5 times what he was making at BG and then was off to Salt Lake. He can bide his time in Salt Lake and look for several other out-clauses when he renogotiates if he does with Utah.

Your point is exactly what I am saying. No one in BG thought he was going to leave and now no one in Utah thinks he is going to leave. But and this is a big but he could not pass up the money Utah was offering and I don't think he could pass up the money ($2Mil) and recruiting base that Florida would offer. Listen, I am not ripping this guy... If I were in the same position, I would think of my family first.

LOL LOL...settle down...it is from an SNL skit. Originally it was Bill Braskyinstead of Chow. Brasky is a fictional character that some guys sitting around having a beer after work discuss. He is larger than life and all the toasts are increasingly silly. I think they ran the bit a couple of times and it had legs for awhile on the net. I think there are a lot of sites about ole Bill, but here is one. Some are actually from the show while I think others were just submitted in the same vein.buckzip said:
