Some guys may just be better off staying at a coordinator position. As an illustrative example of an OC who has no business being a HC, see: Weis, Charles. (You can't miss him)

Certainly, like everyone else, I hope his lack of HC offers has to do with either his skills and qualifications or persona and isn't an ethnic issue.

Edit: Good luck to him at UCLA. He's the best news to happen to that program in over a decade.

Unfortunately, Hawaii fans have just seen the best days they may ever see from their football program. Their facilities are laughable, half the state's top talent goes to the mainland, the recruiting budget is miniscule, and they'll probably never have a HC as qualified as Jones was.

Seeing as UCLA just had a black HC, I don't see how Chow's ethnicity would be a factor.
