Rutgers at tOSU, November 7th, 7 pm on BTN

Week Three: Rutgers
Here is when we see if it’s possible for a Power-Five school to give up 100 points. Rutgers is horrible. Their head coach, Greg Schiano, is also bad at his job. Sure, Schiano led Rutgers back to success back in 2011. But 2011 was a different time. Back then, people thought “planking” was cool. Clearly, we knew nothing.

While defensive coordinator at Ohio State, Schiano ran press-man coverage, rarely adjusting his scheme or disguising his coverages. The result was Ohio State struggling in defend the pass at times despite the fact they had one of the most talented defensive backfields in the country. At Rutgers, his stubborn ass will likely do the exact same thing. Except this time, he doesn’t have guys like Marshon Lattimore or Denzel Ward.

It’s going to be comical to watch Rutgers continue to play man-coverage while giving up 600 yards to Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson. I’m going to enjoy every second of it.

RUTGERS

Rutgers provides zero value.

The team was brought into the Big Ten in an effort to bring league action to one of the biggest television markets in the country, but the oversight the conference made is that no one in that television market cared about the product.

Rutgers' usefulness is more comparable to a "this product contains peanuts" warning on a peanut butter jar. There's nothing the program brings to the Big Ten that everyone doesn't already know. This is an automatic “W” for any team in the league with a pulse, and Ohio State fans can't even feel like it's game-week when the Scarlet Knights are on the docket.

Look at that shit sandwich of games. They had to put someone in the 7:30 slot.

Might as well get what eyeballs you can because you have Ohio State. I personally think the IU storyline is more compelling but if I'm the B1G network guys I can see the logic of getting my surest thing in the prime time slot.

I agree, I think people will tune in to see if dUMb is truly dead

Ohio State opens as a 37-point favorite over Rutgers.

The over/under is 70 1/2, even the (no defense league) BIG XII games aren't that high.
