Ohio State vs. Rutgers Series
Ohio State and the Scarlet Knights are meeting for just the third time in history and in just the second game as members of the Big Ten Conference. Rutgers joined the Big Ten in 2014-15 after one season in the American Athletic Conference (2013-14) and 18 years in the Big East (1996-2013). The first meeting between the Buckeyes and Scarlet Knights was a 97-96 Rutgers win at Madison Square Garden Dec. 30, 1978 in the ECAC Holiday Tournament. The Buckeyes evened the series at one game apiece a season ago in Piscataway. Ohio State won that game 79-60 Feb. 8, 2015.

Last Time vs. Rutgers
Ohio State freshman D'Angelo Russell recorded a triple-double with 23 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds in Ohio State's 79-60 victory over Rutgers on the road Feb. 8, 2015 in Piscataway, N.J. Russell played 35 minutes, was 8 of 13 from the field, had one steal and two turnovers handling the ball most of the game. Jae'San Tate added 20 points and Keita Bates-Diop had 14 to help the Buckeyes to their fourth time in five games. Bishop Daniels had a season-high 17 points for the Scarlet Knights, and Junior Etou added 12 points and 11 rebounds. Ohio State never trailed, built a 21-point lead in the first half and extended it to 25 early in the second with Russell, Tate and Bates-Diop doing most of the damage.

Scouting the Scarlet Knights
Rutgers enters the game with the Buckeyes with an overall record of 6-11 and 0-4 in the Big Ten. The Scarlet Knights were 6-7 in non-conference play. Freshman guard Corey Sanders leads the team offensively with 13.2 points per game. Junior forward Deshawn Freeman, who has missed the last few weeks with a knee injury, averages 13.1 points a game. Sophomore guard Mike Williams contributes 12.2 points a contest to round out the Scarlet Knights' top three offensive players. Sophomore forward D.J. Foreman is the squad's top rebounder with 5.8 caroms a game.

Need a win, and hopefully not just a sloppy one. Put together a solid 40 minutes and get some confidence heading into a couple a tough roadies.

Not sure if our boys are dejected from Indiana, overconfident, or both, but if they don't pick it up they're really going to be disappointed later tonight.
