Rutgers Scarlet Knights (official troll of PedSU)

It's really quite amazing how some grown ass men recoiled from Rice.

That this has remained hidden for so long in the age of Twitter and Facebook suggests these kids genuinely feared their coach, so I'd reckon the psychological abuse has been going on for awhile.

I guess we will have two universities on post season bans in the B1G if this is a cover up.

I doubt it's something the NCAA could/would pursue. I was thinking more along the lines of the potential for a lawsuit by the Conference (still highly doubtful I know).

Hell, Im surprised not one player punched him in the mouth. There is only so many cheeks one can turn. I hope this guy gets fired and is banned from coaching in the NCAA for life. (Not likely, but wishful thinking).

As far as NCAA sanctions. It is player abuse. If it is proven to be a cover up of any kind, a hammer will come down on Rutgers AD and basketball program. They havent been too kind to schools that cover things up to protect staff or players.

I guess I'm not as offended as some people. What we see in the video is a compilation of incidents from hundreds of hours of video review. I'm not saying that they're necessarily isolated, but I doubt it was as rampant as it appears.

Definitely kills recruiting though so he should be fired on that basis alone.

Fired, according to Brett McMurphy of ESPN.

Fire the idiot AD, too, for not getting rid of this clown earlier.

Seriously, Rice is no tough guy. He's a child trapped in a man's body.

Already mentioned is Eddie Jordan... makes immense sense in all ways.. not the least of which he lives in my town and we're a half hour from Rutgers.. sons have played park hoops with him and say he's a great dude.. and he played for Rutgers

Everything you say in the first paragraph is absolutely irrelevant. If those are the "only" incidents in "hundreds of hours of video" then it is a few too many incidents.

And he should be fired on that basis (abusive nature) alone.

I was thinking Dan Hurley should get an interview, but he hasn't really proven himself at Rhode Island (although just there one season).

Tommy Amaker won't take the job.

It'll probably be an assistant or a former head coach not currently coaching. One thing they need to figure out is Tim Pernetti's future.
