Is Donte Whitner out for the rest of the season? That's what coach tressell implied in his big 10 teleconference as per BN..anybody have any info on this?

I had heard last week that Whitner's knee injury had to do with his ACL. Tressel did confirm today at his presser that Donte was out for the year.

Fox actually did play some safety at Sparty and said he had fun doing it. I wish I could remember where I read that.

If that's what helps the team the most, then I'm all for it. If having a slight dropoff at corner prevents a bigger dropoff at safety, then it's a good move.

With the way Sirjo plays special teams, maybe it's time to give him some PT back there.

    Donte back for TSUN?

Did anyone go to the luncheon? Someone on BN who went said Dante might be back for the game. That would be a huge shot in the arm for OSU if true!

    From BN

"I just left QB Club luncheon and JT said Donte has responded very well to treatment and he is possibly going to be ready to go against Mich."

    That is what I assume.

Huge boost simply to add some depth to the secondary... Any word on Fox? I am assuming he will go as it is his last scUM game...

DC, it was said in another thread that Fox could've played against Purdue but the staff rested him instead for The Game.

That would be huge for OSU this week, we need him.
