S Erick Smith (Official Thread)

I'm going to have to throw the flag on that one. He is not at all even close to Annette. Watching Annette get boobs on the Mickey Mouse Club was a source of constant fascination for me.

Smith, well, I guess if you want to see him on the field, well, then fine. But he's not better than watching Annette get boobs.

There. I said it.

Ya...Annette is kinda hot! But still for me the jury is out on Arnette (thanks spell check for that one). Thanks for pointing that one out....

Of course you're entitled to your view. However throwing out that z is better than y when the only data between the two is how they perform in practice which none of us are privy to carries no weight.

Please hang around. We're all fans and good discussion is always welcome.

Glad to see Erick have an impact game. He's always been around the ball, and making plays. It looks like he's fully recovered from his injuries, and his years in service can be helpful to Fuller and the rest of the young pups in the DB line-up. Go Bucks!!

Always felt this guy had a lot of ability and he flashed it with those 2 plays against Army. Speaking of Army, if you watched him the the Army All American game he flashed too.

Would not surprise me at all if this guy just keeps building and kinda breaks out towards the end of the season.

I'm sorry but I don't see what you guys are seeing with Erick. The play he made on the ball against Army looked like a good play to most. But what I saw was a guy who was beaten badly, and yes, he made up for it but only because Army's QB put way too much air under the ball. Against anyone else on our schedule that's a TD.

Jordan Fuller has shown me a lot more in three games than Erick Smith. Would not surprise me if Fuller is the full time starter by PSU.

I tend to agree with you for the most part. However, I thought Damon Webb was the guy who got beaten badly and Erick did a good job of covering up for that mistake. If I recall, the guy streaking was on the opposite side of the field from where Erick lined up, so I can't imagine that was his responsibility; maybe if it was a zone call and he was playing too shallow, it's on him.

Other than that play, though, I saw a safety that had his eyes in the backfield too often, over pursued, and left some cutback lanes wide open (I think he was the guy responsible for the backside on one of the first plays of the game and got caught in the middle of the field). Between him and Damon Webb, the overpursuit is real.

I've been hoping he would get a shot but in the Oklahoma game he was a deer in the headlights. Perhaps that was just because he hasn't played much because of injuries. I wish him good health so he'll get his chance.
