Sam "L" McGuffie (Olympic Bobsled Team)

Totally impressed. He has everything you want in a RB. Give him a couple years in the weight room and he could easily put on 1O - 15 lbs and be up to 2OO - 2O5 lbs. Let him redshirt his first year and he could be our featured back for 2-3 years. I hope an offer comes soon.

Does anybody know what the possible holdup could be on an offer? Does it have anything to do with Torrence?

Could be Torrence or it could be that the staff feels he is likely headed to either UM or Oklahoma...

It's the same name but a different sport.
Cy-Fair's Sam McGuffie, who was dominant on the football field last season, is making his mark on the track.
The junior, who finished sixth at the 2006 Class 5A state track meet in the long jump, is competing ? and succeeding ? in several events this season.
McGuffie, the Chronicle's 2006 football offensive player of the year, showed off his versatility on the track on Saturday at the Heintschel Relays at Crump Stadium where he was named boys athlete of the meet.
