Scenarios for Final CFP Playoff Rankings

SEC SEC gonna have a quandary. Numbers 4, 5, 6 or 7, & 8 (Mutts, Yutes, Land Thieves or Rape Enablers and Wisky) likely gonna lose. Which kicks Gata up from 9. Utes likely gonna drop big if this holds. TOSU should boat race Wisky. Baylor vs OU is my question mark, but one of them is going south.

That could result in Florida and Penn State each moving up three or four spots. If Gata moves from 9 to 6, where they gonna put the Leg Humpers? They beat us. So if they can't be behind us, does an UGA loss only moves them down one spot, and OU or Baylor move to 4? How high do you jump Oregon? Utah was as sucky as the rest of their sucky conference. Do you move Oregon to 7 - after Florida and before Penn State? After Penn State? Before or after the Alabama twins?

Utah losing makes this more of a cluster than I thought possible. This is set up that the Mutts hardly take a hit when they lose, as it is hard to drop them after Gata, but putting them ahead of Gata makes no sense either. And it is hard to not put Gata ahead of Wisky, Utah, and the OU/Baylor loser. But to justify dropping Georgia, they might have to push Penn State and Oregon ahead of Florida so they have a place to put Georgia. I have a bad feeling about this.

I read the first couple sentences of this like a verse... damn Wiscy isnt even good for rhyming.

My personal opinion is that teams shouldn't drop too far for losing CCGs. It's a 13th game. I probably would jump Oregon over a bunch of the other 2-loss teams. Drop Utah to behind Wisconsin. Oregon ahead of Wisconsin.
If Georgia loses, jump BXII winner over them.
And drop Virginia from Top25.

Assuming all the favorites...

[undefeated top3]
OU
Georgia
Oregon
Baylor
Wisconsin
Utah
....

I think Florida will get in there between Oregon and Baylor.

One major complaint I wanted to voice before we get too far into Championship Saturday.

The possibility of LSU jumping OSU if both win has been discussed entirely too much. Barring a huge disparity in how the two teams win, the Tigers have no business jumping the Buckeyes.

The talking heads keep debating if a win over UGA would be enough to make the jump. Why should it? The only difference between the 10-2 #8 Badgers and the 11-1 #4 Dogs is that Wiscy had the bad luck to draw the Buckeyes on its cross division schedule while UGA avoided both LSU and Bama. Otherwise these two teams would be almost identically ranked. Take away the OSU game and both would be top 5 teams with one bad loss in an otherwise strong resume.

Anyone want to guess how many times I heard the fact that SEC! plays an 8 game conference schedule compared to the 9 that everyone else* plays?

* - everyone else that matters - pretty sure Clemson would be able to handle a grueling 9 game ACC schedule.

I wrote off the chances for Wiscy and Florida, but if LSU wins and Clemson loses, Oklahoma goes to #3 and who's #4?

Georgia, with 2 losses (1 really bad)?
Clemson, with no wins over ranked teams and no conference championship?
Wiscy if they get a CCG win?
Florida, with losses only to LSU and Georgia?

A Georgia win makes it easy for the commmittee.

A Clemson loss makes it a long night.

So four teams above #9 Florida lose, so Florida drops. I would not bet against it. But I would not put Utah above Florida based upon their PAC-12 resume'.

Fair point on Utah.
I suppose you beat Auburn... but... your resume aint shit.
I have news for you - hardly anyone's resume ain't shit. Which is the problem. We led LSU in the 3rd quarter, and given our sucky O-line, that was quite the feat. Again, everyone sucks. Which makes throwing turds with tags against the wall about as accurate as the Committee. You have Oregon above us. But Ducks lost to Auburn, and we beat Auburn. Transitive comparisons mean squat, usually. None of it means anything till we meet on the field. Just destroy Wisky and it will all work out.

Oregon won a Conference... the East isnt a strong Division, as we're seeing live.
Wiscy beat Minny beat PSU
Wiscy beat scUM beat ND
Probably all those are better than Auburn. ND maybe exception.

.... this stuff happens every single year. The H2H only matters if we're talking same record.
