SEC (It just means more.. even its losses are wins)

Not a lot of choice when you're a public institution unfortunately.
Meanwhile private Miami can pay 70 kids $2mil, prostitutes, drugs, and abortion ... and not only bury it by refusing to cooperate but threaten NCAA for using questionable practices. And they still suck with that advantage.

Putting this here in the absence of a dedicated Vanderbilt thread:
David Williams was the SEC's first African-American athletic director, at Vanderbilt in the early 2000s, and was a law prof and administrator at OSU before Gee recruited him away to Vandy. He retired as AD and vice chancellor on January 31 -- then died suddenly on February 8.

Hey look an entire article talking about how progressive the SEC is for scheduling "tough" OOC games. Really, it only talks about Florida and Georgia but hey, SEC SEC SEC, am I right?

Stricklin found out in the space of three days earlier this month. He combined the announcement of a home-and-home with Colorado in 2028-29 with the tease of something bigger. A couple of days later, he tweeted out that Florida had agreed to a home-and-home series with Texas in 2030-31.

There was a bit of obvious jaw-dropping around college football. Florida hasn't gone outside the state for a nonconference regular-season game since 1991, and it has not played a home-and-home out of state since 1989.

Not sure why the article goes on to say that these games are needed in case the CFP expands. Uh, Notre Dame just proved that you have to beat the #winningest and a bunch of ACC teams to get in now with only 4 teams. I do agree that this may help fill the seats better though.

Tennessee's first African-American football player was Lester McClain in 1967, two years after Adolph Rupp's all-white Kentucky Wildcats lost to Texas Western (now UTEP).

This conference's roots are based in racism, no matter how many 21st century fan boys suck on their teats. :roll1:
