If y'all haven't watched Foul Play: Paid in Mississippi by SB Nation, you REALLY need to watch it.

"Most bitter rivalry in the nation" (speaking of Ole Miss - Miss St)
:rofl::rofl::rofl:
Not even the biggest rivalry in their own division... got through 1 episode, and so far just a lot of beating around the bushes to milk yt adverts and SECSECSEC
Same episode... whole segment about THE RIVALRY. The pinnacle stunned me: "Mullen called Ole Miss that school up north"... he spends a minute explaining how Mullen denied their identity... the d̶e̶h̶u̶m̶a̶n̶i̶z̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ deuniversification(?) ... gee I wonder where Mullen got that from. Not sure I've heard "THAT SCHOOL UP NORTH" before in my life.
I wonder if Mullen ever worked for a guy that talked about the importance of creating rivalries if there wasn't one already... I wonder if that same guy maybe grew up somewhere that talks about TSUN.
It's almost like this "rivalry" is a forced trope stolen from somewhere else.

On Ep3... those poor Daughters of the Confederacy not able to enjoy their Sophomore season cuz daddy got caught paying a destitute black player. For shame. The signs and her lapel pin say more than the shit coming out of her mouth.
Some SEC homers threw a fit the last time I pointed out the Plantation system that SEC still uses... and it's on full display here.

Also, the Ole Miss proxy lawyer crying about how it's "NCAA illegal" for Leo Lewis to accept transportation, food, lodging on a visit. He just exactly described an Official Visit... and SB Nation guy sits there and nods along like a doofus. Maybe the lawyer doesn't know better, maybe he does and spinning for benefit.
But the "journalist" damn well does know better, and says nothing.
They put some production value into this... but it's starting to look more like MSNBC/Fox.

I can dream.

Mizzou beats both Florida and UGA to win the East. WLOCP doesn't impact divisional race.

UGA beats Auburn, who beats both LSU and Bama.

LSU beats Bama, loses to Mizzou in the CCG in Atlanta.

Every SEC has at least 2 losses, and the champion has losses to Wyoming and Vanderbilt.

ESPN tries to hype Mizzou, committee doesn't buy it, the 4 playoff teams are Buckeyes, Clemson, Oklahoma, and 1-loss Oregon.

They'd still stick 2 loss bama in there and esecpn would make up some 'computer's ranking to justify it.

I have a feeling they are going to pull the "eye test/4 best teams" thing to justify picking who they have wanted all year long regardless of actual performance.

People are using objective points of reference like conference championships and W/L record....I can see this mystery group going behind closed doors, working deals and emerging with the most outrageous 4 team field yet.

As I sit here in College Station, TX, I've had a thought arise and I figured I would post it here.

Bringing the big analytical guns into this question (but anyone is welcome):
@BB73 @Buckeyeskickbuttocks @DaddyBigBucks

BP members have noted consistently this season that TAMU just continues to be in the polls even when they lose consistently.
So, my question/thought is if anyone knows whether they're poll ratings were this biased when they were in the Big XII?

I don't know how to go back to get pre-season ratings as well as how things progress during the season.
But I'm presuming that when TAMU was in the Big XII, 1) they're preseason ratings were rarely as positive as they have been since going into the SEC and 2) that they maintain presence in the polls more "rigorously" due to being in the SEC.

Its more of a mediocre SEC team issue in general than just Texas A&M.

You'll have the handful of SEC teams that are actual top 25 caliber, then you get the about 2 every year they keep revolving back into the polls, purely based on pretty much who they lose to, that dont really belong there. Which in turn gives the conference a boost "THEYRE IN THE TOP 25!!!"". The media put the SEC goggles on so thick after the Florida/Ohio State BCS title game and they really have not gone away much, especially now with ESPN owning stake in the SEC with the SEC Network.

as far as A&M goes though, id say both of these are correct assumptions.
