On tuesday, wednesday, and thursday, ESPN will be airing Senior Bowl practices (2:30 - 3:30 ET). Mangold just made the intro video. The coverage is in HD, so they will be jamming it down your throat as usual (mel kiper's hair is off the frame on the top and right of the screen).

Spielman interview:
Probably the biggest mistake I made coming out of Ohio State and getting ready for the NFL draft was that I chose not to play in the Senior Bowl. Even after then, general manager John McVeigh (sp?) of the San Francisco 49ers said 'Chris you should play in it.' I don't know why I didn't play in it. I really believe if I had played in it, and showed all of these scouts and general managers - about 300-400 of them - the intangibles I brought to the field, I might have been able to elevate my draft position from 29th.

Mark May expressed similar thoughts, but added he went to the Hula bowl b/c he wantd to travel.

Great publicity for Nick Mangold, both announcers were raving about him, passing along what they have been hearing ("his nasty streak, he'll throw a guy down and go after him.")

Watson on the other hand is showing promise but they are talking about whether or not he can be consistent (after his streaky 05 season)... during which Watson was taken to the ground by the pitt OL).

Watson locked up for 4.5 seconds, took 6 seconds to finally break free.

Mangold just destroyed Dvoracek once (took him down with great hand placement, says May), who backed up and came back for more and was shut down again.

Kiper is talking about the draft being full of talented centers, yet he feels Mangold has really solidified a 2nd round grade.

Kiper went on to call out two UM players:
- Watson really needs a big week to overcome his inconsistency
- Avant needs to show some speed and separation ability
- Three big games (PSU, OSU, Neb) avg per catch was 9 yards, not gonna get it done
- Had a couple drops today

Derek Hagan had a few drops too, apparently off to a slow start as well.

Dvoracek contained well again by another OL. (3rd round pick predicted by Kiper)
- strength: quick, strong, intense concern: durability (pointing this stuff out since he was a star at OU, and a notorious one at that)
Watson tried to bull-rush and the OL just took him for a ride 5 yards beyond the QB (mangold playing that role).

Hali has not done too much on the first three plays, but apparently the scouts are still high on him (which makes sense... not sure he has as much to prove IMO).

More love for mangold (rematch vs Dusty Dvoracek): May talking about his great hand work. Result of the rematch? Another take down of the sooner :)... Spielman adds that he's not a true pass rusher, but that Mangold is excellent nonetheless. Talks about the nice wide base that Mangold possesses.

Watson fails yet again in the 1v1.

Question for kiper: "Why couldn't Nick Mangold be a first rounder?"
He certainly could be, he is the guy at center. He is certainly on the rise, we'll have to see after the combine and individual workout.

Byrd apparently just caught his first ball of the game (he's been struggling too).

Hagan just bobbled another open catch.

Watson flinches offsides.

Robinson overthrows his WR (throws it beyond and behind WR, nearly picked off). Spielman feels he can really improve as a QB, partially b/c he has never seen someone improve as much as MRob did from his junior to senior year.

Buzzmaster: (3:26 PM ET ) Helloooooooo again! We'll be back on Tuesday with more live chats from the Senior Bowl! We'll get started around 1 ET. Talk to you then!

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (12:18 AM ET ) Scouts, Inc's Todd McShay will kick things off at 1 ET to talk about the first day of practice, who impressed (Tye Hill, Maurice Stovall) and who didn't (Michael Robinson). We'll also have several players stopping by so join us!

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (10:22 AM ET ) Good morning! Slight change to the schedule. Miami WR Sinorice moss, Notre Dame WR Maurice Stovall and Penn St. QB Michael Robinson will all be rotating in to take your questions starting at about 12:45 ET. We'll have many other players as well. So what do you want to ask?

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (12:30 PM ET ) Hey everyone, WR Hank Baskett from New Mexico is here!

David Minner: Who would you most like to burn for a TD in the game on Saturday?

sn2.gif
Hank Baskett: (12:31 PM ET ) Dang! Some of those Penn State boys! I work out with one of their safeties so I'd like to put one on them.

j.t.: Are you able to have any fun while at the SEnior Bowl or is it all work?

sn2.gif
Hank Baskett: (12:32 PM ET ) It's definitely a lot of work but we get to have fun. Just being around all the guys is fun. We have functions scheduled all week so I'm looking forward to that.

Tom (Denver): What NFL teams represent the coaching staff for the Senior Bowl?

sn2.gif
Hank Baskett: (12:33 PM ET ) We have the 49ers staff. It's different from college. They have fun but they are all business. They will snap quicker than the college coaches. I was on the same flight as Coach Nolan so I got to talk to him a bit which was nice.

Brad (Albuquerque): Hank..I was so upset this year to not see you used more appropriately, otherwise UNM might've been in a bowl. What NFL team would you dream to play for?

sn2.gif
Hank Baskett: (12:35 PM ET ) I felt like I was used very graciously this year. It was an offense built around me but things don't always go as you wanted. I have no regrets other than not going to a bowl. I loved Marcus Allen and Bo Jackson and always loved the Raiders growing up.

Christian (Wayne, NJ): How difficult is it to play with players from other systems and game plans? Is it tough to adjust to playing with new teammates?

sn2.gif
Hank Baskett: (12:36 PM ET ) We have to get on the same page. We came here to do our best and to win the game. It's not the same as being with your regular teammates but we are supposed to be the best seniors so we should be able to put it together and win.

Chris (Tampa): Hank, what teams have spent a lot of time talking to you?

sn2.gif
Hank Baskett: (12:37 PM ET ) Everyone asks the same thing .. best game, worst game, strengths and weaknesses. I'm supposed to talk to Tampa today. You get snatched up by every team possible while you are here.

Nick (Eugene): How much weight does this game factor into draft decisions by the NFL scouts

sn2.gif
Hank Baskett: (12:38 PM ET ) You can either increase your status or stay even or drop. You are going to do one of the three so this week is huge. The scouts see you ever minute of the day except when you are in your hotel room. They watch everything you do.

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (12:38 PM ET ) What are you trying to improve on or showcase this week?

sn2.gif
Hank Baskett: (12:39 PM ET ) I'm trying to work on my release off the press. I want to show that I bring a real physical game and that I will make the tough catches.

Mackenzie (ABQ): What position do hope to play in the NFL? Where do you see your skills being used most appropriately?

sn2.gif
Hank Baskett: (12:39 PM ET ) I still see myself being a wide receiver 5, 10 years from now. I see myself having gone to a Pro Bowl or two by then as well.

keenan myers: Who askes harder questions, us or an nfl team?

sn2.gif
Hank Baskett: (12:41 PM ET ) NFL team. By far. They will ask the most random questions you can think of. One team gave me three off the wall words and ask you which one describes you. I've said ''huh'' several times already this week. Or they ask if you if were a certain animal, what would you be like?

Hack McMurty: Beyonce or JLo?

sn2.gif
Hank Baskett: (12:42 PM ET ) Beyonce. Just look at her.

sn2.gif
Hank Baskett: (12:42 PM ET ) Actually, Eva Longoria.

Matt (Columbia, SC): Who has the fastist 40 at the senior bowl?

sn2.gif
Hank Baskett: (12:42 PM ET ) I run a 4.4. Not sure about everyone else.

Jeremy, Charlotte, NC: How is Brodie Croyle looking down there? I know Bama's offense wasnt good but now that he has some receievers that can catch is he any good ?

sn2.gif
Hank Baskett: (12:43 PM ET ) We've connected on a couple passes already. He is getting swamped around here. The whole South team is teasing him about it. You hear ''Brodie Brodie'' everywhere you go.

Tom (Phoenix): You mentioned they asked your weakness...Do you think the speed of the game in the NFL will hinder you?

sn2.gif
Hank Baskett: (12:45 PM ET ) My only weakness if getting off against the press but that can be fixed. The speed of the game is the only real difference between college and the NFL. You have Defensive Linemen that can outrun receivers. It's crazy.

Jeremy Charlotte, NC: Of all the QBs, who has looked the best coming from a Wide Receiver?

sn2.gif
Hank Baskett: (12:45 PM ET ) All three have been impressive. Their ability to place the ball and knowledge of the game is impressive.

Lo Boston: What players have you seen this week that could help the Steelers if our favorite Jerome retires. Do you think they have what it takes to win the Super Bowl next week?

sn2.gif
Hank Baskett: (12:46 PM ET ) I think the Steelers will shock everybody. They have a very solid team but it should be a good game.

sn2.gif
Hank Baskett: (12:47 PM ET ) Thanks for the questions! I appreciate it. We'll do this again sometime!

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (12:48 PM ET ) Thanks, Hank! OK, another WR, Sinorice Moss from Miami, is coming up next ... send your questions now!

sn2.gif
Sinorice Moss: (12:49 PM ET ) Hello!

Anthony, MD: Whats your statline gonna be on Saturday?

sn2.gif
Sinorice Moss: (12:50 PM ET ) Who knows. I have no idea. I just try to make plays whenever the ball comes my way.

Pete (St. Pete, Florida): Sinorice, who do you think was the best corner you faced in college?

sn2.gif
Sinorice Moss: (12:50 PM ET ) I would say Tye Hill from Clemson. He's here this week.

Michael: Sinorice, have you met with any teams yet? Which ones? What did they ask you?

sn2.gif
Sinorice Moss: (12:51 PM ET ) I've met with several already. They have been telling me they are interested and asking about my life and my background. They ask me what I expect to do once I get drafted.

boston, MA: Which team would you like to play forin the NFL?

sn2.gif
Sinorice Moss: (12:52 PM ET ) I grew up loving the Packers and all the great tradition they had. It just caught my eye then and I'm still a Green Bay fan now. I think Favre will be back next year. I hope he is.

Ben (Baton Rouge, LA): Yo Sinorice! Can you be another Steve Smith? How is your game similar to his?

sn2.gif
Sinorice Moss: (12:52 PM ET ) I could be Sinorice Moss. I can't be Steve Smith. But I hope to be as good as he is.

Jay (Providence): What kind of pressure do you feel working out in front of all of the scouts at the Senior Bowl?

sn2.gif
Sinorice Moss: (12:53 PM ET ) Of course there is pressure to execute in front of all those people. But you just have to concentrate the best you can.

John, NC: You didn't get much of a chance to return kicks at Miami with those duties going to Hester. Do you see yourself as a return guy in the NFL?

sn2.gif
Sinorice Moss: (12:54 PM ET ) I will get a big chance to do it in the NFL. A lot of teams are telling me they see me doing that. I've been practicing a lot and hope to get to do it this week.

Jason (Tallahassee, FL): Sinorice, Who's the best Moss in the pros, Santana or Randy? (Be honest.)

sn2.gif
Sinorice Moss: (12:54 PM ET ) Santana. No question!

Travis, Canada: First thing I'm buying Moms/Pops after the contract is signed is_________?

sn2.gif
Sinorice Moss: (12:54 PM ET ) A house.

Mike (Florence, MS): Sinorice, how do you see the Hurricane's playing next season? Thanks!

sn2.gif
Sinorice Moss: (12:55 PM ET ) The challenges will be overcoming the loss of some great coaches and so many seniors. But it's a great program. They will never fall flat.

Mike (Florence, MS): Who's your pick in Superbowl XL?

sn2.gif
Sinorice Moss: (12:55 PM ET ) Pittsburgh!

Tony (Charleston,SC): Where would you rate yourself amongst all of the other Wideouts

sn2.gif
Sinorice Moss: (12:56 PM ET ) I feel like I am. I hope to prove that this week.

Graham (Raleigh, NC): What do you think you've improved on the most while in college that will help you succeed in the NFL?

sn2.gif
Sinorice Moss: (12:57 PM ET ) My ability to make the big catch and snag the ball wherever it was. That is what so many scouts like about me. I really improved on that in college.

Bob, Toledo, OH: Sinorice- have you been able to help out the 'Canes with recruiting this year with all that is going on with you? Will you work out in Coral Gables like so many other 'Canes do in the off-season?

sn2.gif
Sinorice Moss: (12:58 PM ET ) I've talked to a lot of local guys in Miami and a lot of them are interested and see the opportunity to be on a great team. I feel like I helped a lot in that area, I hope I did. I'll always be in Coral Gables in the offseason!

Mike (Florence, MS): Have you had a chance to sample any tasty southern cuisine since being in Mobile?

sn2.gif
Sinorice Moss: (12:58 PM ET ) Not really. Haven't had the chance yet but I hope to.

Thanks for the questions! Go Canes!

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (12:59 PM ET ) Thanks, Sinorice! Geez. he just shook Buzz's hand and almost broke it! That dude's got a grip!

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (1:02 PM ET ) Next us is .. you guessed it .. another WR! Notre Dame WR Maurice Stovall will be here momentarily .. send your questions!

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (1:10 PM ET ) So how's everyone doing this fine Tuesday?

Mike (Florence, MS): Doing great Buzz. How's the weather in Mobile? I'm driving down from Jackson MS to see the Senior Bowl on Saturday.

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (1:11 PM ET ) Beautiful. It was in the 70s yesterday.

J.J. (Johnstown): Great Buzz thank you for asking

tacoma (wa): super

Chuck (Dallas, TX): Are you sure it was Sinorice's handshake and not your girly hand?

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (1:14 PM ET ) That's very possible.

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (1:15 PM ET ) Anyone have a quick question for Ivan Maisel before he runs out? He's sitting right here.

Patrick, CA: Ivan, What WR has impressed you the msot this week?

sn2.gif
Ivan Maisel: (1:17 PM ET ) Travis Wilson from Oklahoma. It's tough to jusge anything right now because QBs and WRs are trying to learn each other and the playbooks. But I've seen Wilson make some great catches and I've seen him finish his pass routes which the North coaches have really been stepping on the receivers about doing.

sn2.gif
Ivan Maisel: (1:17 PM ET ) He's an under the radar guy because he has been hurt but he won't be under the radar for long.

Orion (West Coast): Hey Ivan how come you didn't play some ball back in the days?

sn2.gif
Ivan Maisel: (1:18 PM ET ) I had a 40 time that nearly cracked double figures.

Patrick, CA: Thanks Ivan. Hve fun this week!

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (1:19 PM ET ) Still waiting on Mr. Stovall. We're also slated to have Michael Robinson stopping by a little later .. after that we're just going to grab whoever we can find!

Hende (OH): So let me get this straight, ESPN flies you around to transcribe other people's answers? Quite a gig you got there Buzz.

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (1:22 PM ET ) Hey, it's not all fun and games. Wait ... yeah it is. Sorry about that. The best part about coming to the Senior Bowl is the food. Seriously. Just around the corner from the hotel here is ''The Little Chicken''. Chowing down now on country fried steak, Macaroni and Cheese and something I don't even have a name for ... it's like a hushpuppy but it has creamed corn on the inside. Anyone know what that's called?

Kerry (MD): CORN FRITTERS!!!! I love those!

Dean (Akron, OH): Buzz, that's called disgusting, I think.

Mike (Florence, MS): Buzz, it's just deep-fried cream corn. In the South, we deep-fry anything. I went to a baseball game here in Jackson and ordered deep-fried macaroni & cheeze. Delicious, but an artery clogger.

sn2.gif
Ivan Maisel: (1:25 PM ET ) Thanks for stopping by the Food Network .. we're begging Buzz to continue Senior Bowl coverage.

Jeff (Dayton): What's the best place to be sent for ESPN? Do you get Pro Bowl travel?

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (1:27 PM ET ) Yeah, Pro Bowl is pretty sweet. But not going this year.

Joe (Ca): Get Robinson in here! Penn State wooooooo

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (1:29 PM ET ) Hold on .. Buzz is going to go investigate real quick.

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (1:32 PM ET ) Just bumped into Vandy QB Jay Cutler .. say hi to Jay ..

sn2.gif
Jay Cutler: (1:33 PM ET ) Hey everyone ..

Donny-Los Angeles, CA: If Kobe can score 81, can an NFL team do it in the years to come?

sn2.gif
Jay Cutler: (1:34 PM ET ) No, an NFL team will not do it. Defenses are way too sophisticated. If anything, scoring will go down.

Rick , NY: Hey Jay, I was just curious. What do you think separates you from your 2 other highly ranked peers, Leinart and Young?

sn2.gif
Jay Cutler: (1:34 PM ET ) I think I'm a mixture of both of those guys. Leinart's strengths are as a pocket passer and VY is a runner. I'm a blend of the two.

Brian (CA): Hye Jay, do you think that Kiper's love affair with your game by putting you so high up in the mock draft is justified...are you the real deal?

sn2.gif
Jay Cutler: (1:35 PM ET ) Yeah, I'm the real deal. I've done my part throughout my career to put myself in the top QB category.

Matt (Buffalo): How's it going Jay? Just a quick one , being at a school that didn't get the nat'l recognition as a USC or Texas type program, what do you think is the most important thing for you to seperate yourself?

sn2.gif
Jay Cutler: (1:36 PM ET ) By coming to the Senior Bowl. It's a great way to put yourself in front of the coaches and let your talent take over.

mel (jersey city, nj): Who do you have for the Super Bowl?

sn2.gif
Jay Cutler: (1:36 PM ET ) Pittsburgh. They are just on a roll. Their defense and running game is better.

Donny-Los Angeles, CA: Jay, One of the mock drafts have you dropping to 18 and playing for the Cowboys, would you like to play for coach Parcells?

sn2.gif
Jay Cutler: (1:37 PM ET ) I would love to play for him. He obviously knows how to coach QBs and it's a great town with a great fan base.

John (Kansas): how fast if your fastball?

sn2.gif
Jay Cutler: (1:38 PM ET ) I played shortstop.

Os (NJ): Hey Jay... are you feeling any difference in the game this week working with better WR's? against better defensive players?

sn2.gif
Jay Cutler: (1:39 PM ET ) Yeah, it's a big adjustment. Playing at Vandy we didn't have All Americans at every position. Getting used to the timing is tough but that's why we are practicing all week.

Eric, CA: Your thoughts on the whole Reggie v. VY for the top pick? Just wondering if college players feel as split as the media on the issue. I personally think it's Reggie without a doubt

sn2.gif
Jay Cutler: (1:40 PM ET ) It depends on the teams need. I think Bush is the best college football player and if the Texans stay with Carr, he would be a good pick for them.

Allen (T-town, AL): Jay, you're quite a talented QB. What other programs recruited you comming out of HS?

sn2.gif
Jay Cutler: (1:41 PM ET ) I wasn't highly recruited. I was commmitted to Illinois for awhile but they dropped me and Vandy was one of the only other schools that wanted me at QB.

stephen, ma: what's the coaching like out there?

Jay Cutler: (1:41 PM ET ) It's been great. The intesity is up. They pass on as much knowledge as they can to all the players here which is great.

Jeff (South Beach): Jay, we want you in Miami - have you talked to Nick Saban yet?

sn2.gif
Jay Cutler: (1:41 PM ET ) I met him last night and we had a great meeting. They might be drafting a QB.

Don (Kalamazoo, MI): Jay... Mel Kiper has you as high as number 9 to the Lions, a place where you would obviously be competing for a starting spot right away. Would you be excited to step in there with the obvious talent they have at the receiver positions?

sn2.gif
Jay Cutler: (1:42 PM ET ) I think it's always tough for a rookie QB to come in and make a quick impact. But the Lions do have great talent at WR so anything is possible.

Allen (Tuscaloosa, AL): Always wanted to ask this....how hard are the classes at Vandy?

sn2.gif
Jay Cutler: (1:43 PM ET ) The hardest part is getting in and getting adjusted to the workload but once you get it down, it's hard to not be successful.

Bengi (Dyersville, IA): What aspect are you most looking forward to in the NFL life?

sn2.gif
Jay Cutler: (1:44 PM ET ) Just getting paid to do what you love. It's always been a dream to play in the NFL so if it can become a reality that would be great.

Ron (Camarillo, CA): Jay, who has impressed you the most this week?

sn2.gif
Jay Cutler: (1:45 PM ET ) Our entire WR corp is big and fast and it's been a blast throwing to them.

John (Kansas): do you like sandwiches?

sn2.gif
Jay Cutler: (1:45 PM ET ) I love them. Especially turkey.

Kerry: Jay, random question. Did you know this former Vandy receiver doing the Real World/Road Rules thing? If so, was he any good?

sn2.gif
Jay Cutler: (1:46 PM ET ) M.J. Garrett. I played with him for two years. He was good.

3FF (Arlington, VA): Dude, do you get any groupies down there at the Senior Bowl?

sn2.gif
Jay Cutler: (1:46 PM ET ) I'm not aware if the Senior Bowl has groupies.

Michael, Washington DC: As a Vandy '05, just wanted to express my gratitute. Although we fell a game short of a bowl, I've never seen Vandy fans as fired up as last season.

sn2.gif
Jay Cutler: (1:47 PM ET ) Thank you very much. I appreciate the support. Coach Johnson and the staff are really working hard to keep improving on last season.

Thanks for the questions!

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (1:49 PM ET ) Thanks, Jay!

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (1:49 PM ET ) OK, we're hoping to get Michael Robinson in here next .. but could be someone else .. oh, the drama ..

Batch (Beantown): Speaking of drama ... ok I don't have anything clever to put here

Ben (Oakland): You sure know how to keep your audience on the edge of their seat

John (Buffalo): Buzz....are you getting these guys cell phone numbers so you can freeload a few tickets down the road???

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (1:52 PM ET ) How did you know that? Freaky.

Jeff (Cleveland): Isn't all the drama on TNT?

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (1:52 PM ET ) Not today.

Marty (Cinci): What happened to MoSto?

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (1:54 PM ET ) He got pulled into a meeting. But we'll get him on eventually. It's about a 200 ft. walk from the lobby to where we are so that's 200 ft of agents, scouts. hanger's on to wade through ..

Todd (Boston): Buzz, any random thoughts on life that you'd like to share with us right now?

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (1:57 PM ET ) I'm eating conocut creme pie right now.

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (2:01 PM ET ) OK, we're going to have a lull in players for awhile because there are team meetings and the South team is practicing at 2:30 ET. But Scouts, Inc.'s Todd McShay is coming back any second to break things down ..

sn2.gif
Scout's Inc.'s Todd McShay: (2:04 PM ET ) Hello everyone. What's on your mind?

Rocky (Nashville): Does Jay Cutler really have a realistic chance of being a top 10 draft pick?

sn2.gif
Scout's Inc.'s Todd McShay: (2:07 PM ET ) I think he does. I think Cutler will be off the board in the top 15. I don't see him necessarily as a top 15 pick in terms of overall talent but the lack of depth in this year's QB class has pushed him into that range. I'm impressed by his arm strength and he's realitively mobile. He's intelligent, competitive and tough.

sn2.gif
Scout's Inc.'s Todd McShay: (2:08 PM ET ) He'll need some good coaching and a lot of work on his mechanics. He's a little up and down in terms of his accuracy and consistency.

Ricky, Houston: So what team do you guys think will draft Michael Robinson and do you see him playing QB in the NFL?

sn2.gif
Scout's Inc.'s Todd McShay: (2:09 PM ET ) I don't see any chance he plays QB in the NFL. He's wasting his time here. It's really too bad. It's a borderline travesty because he has a whole week to take advantage of everyone being here and to show what he can do as a receiver or RB. He's doing a little bit as a return guy which is another area he could contribute at. But to make an NFL team and make a career of it, it would have to be at WR or RB.

Marty (Cinci): Is Mo Stovall a first rounder? Where and when do you see him going?

sn2.gif
Scout's Inc.'s Todd McShay: (2:11 PM ET ) I think Stovall will come off the board in the second round. There is obviously some concern about his one year of production. He has better numbers in his senior year than his first three years combined. It seems like the light has come on for him and playing under Coach Weis was helpful for him. He took off a good amount of weight and got in better shape and for the first time he is really motivated to play. He doesn't have great speed and he takes a litle long to get in and out of his routes but when you are 6'4'', 220 and running in the mid 4.5's with the ability to catch over the shoulder, there is room for you in the NFL. I think he will be among the top 4-6 receivers taken in the draft.

Rashad from Fremont, CA: Todd, Of the receivers at practices this week, who cathes the ball in his hands (not letting it get to the body) most consistently?

sn2.gif
Scout's Inc.'s Todd McShay: (2:13 PM ET ) Good question. I would say Jason Avant or Sinorice Moss. Those two guys are very good at that. Avant dropped a couple passes today though. But he is the most consistent of the group, with Moss a close second. Moss is good at ''plucking'' the ball and bringing it into this body. The guy who has been the worst at this is Derek Hagan who has really been fighting the ball this week.

Christine (Fresno): What player had the biggest difference between actual sized to the size listed in their schools media guide?

sn2.gif
Scout's Inc.'s Todd McShay: (2:14 PM ET ) Christine bringing the tough questions! Maurice Stovall had dropped 20 pounds. D'Angelo Williams was 5'8'' 1/2 which was shorter than expected.

Jeff (Cleveland): Whos the best pash rusher down there?

sn2.gif
Scout's Inc.'s Todd McShay: (2:16 PM ET ) I think it's Kiwanuka. He hasn't had a great week yet and got planted by D'Brickashaw Ferguson today.

Todd (Birmingham, AL): How much does UAB's Darrell Hackney's lack of height hurt his status?

sn2.gif
Scout's Inc.'s Todd McShay: (2:17 PM ET ) It certainly doesn't help but each year there seems to be less of an emphasis on height at the QB position. I'll have a better feel on him after this afternooon's practice.

TJ (Portland, ME): Who is the best RB that nobdy is talking about?

sn2.gif
Scout's Inc.'s Todd McShay: (2:19 PM ET ) Jerious Norwood has really stood out as an underrated player here at the Senior Bowl. Very explosive with decent size. He needs to get a little bigger but he has stood out already this week.

Manny (Hawaii): Todd, answer a Hula Bowl question. I watched the game and was very impressed with the starting center from the North squad, he later played tackle and looked good also. His name was Brian Barthelmes from UVA. I don't see him on anyone's draft boards? He is listed at 6'7 290 and looked pretty physical to me, what is the deal?

sn2.gif
Scout's Inc.'s Todd McShay: (2:21 PM ET ) He's a classic example of a good college guy who doesn't project as a real contributor in the NFL because of his size and quickness. There were very few players in that game that will get drafted in the first three rounds. The majority of players in that game are second day draft picks.

Andrew (Jackson, MS): What's the buzz on D.J. Shockley?

sn2.gif
Scout's Inc.'s Todd McShay: (2:22 PM ET ) He didn't have a great day yesterday. Inconsistent play on the ball. He misssed several open targetrs and he looked like he was getting frustrated. You also have to take into consideration it's his first day back after awhile in a whole new sceme with new players. That's a lot of kinks to iron out. Overall the consensus is Shockley deserves a chance to show what he can do at QB before looking at a possible position switch.

bob (nyc): Last year at this time Matt Jones was a 3rd rounder at best, but the Jags took a flyer on him in the 1st based solely on athletic ability. What team would be most likely to do the same this year with Hester? Denver, maybe, with two first rounders and no real speed guys in the passing game?

sn2.gif
Scout's Inc.'s Todd McShay: (2:25 PM ET ) I think there are two qualifiers .. first off it has to be a team that has shown a pension for creativity. Like the Steelers or Patriots. The second thing is it has to be a team without real specific needs. Hester will not be a first round pick and I'd be surprised if he got into the second round. As for the third or fourth round, more teams are willing to take a chance on a position move so it's hard to predict who might take that chance.

John from Philly: haven't heard to much about demeco ryans. is he making any impression at all?

sn2.gif
Scout's Inc.'s Todd McShay: (2:26 PM ET ) Yeah, he looked good yesterday. It's tough with LBs to say much about them after one day. He is probably the most instinctive LB here. He is quick and make plays in the short area. But his lack of great speed was obvious yesterday.

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (2:27 PM ET ) Side note .. when Jay Cutler was here a minute ago he looked at the roster and said ''Oh, DeMeco's here?''. He wasn't happy he was on the other team ; )

Jared Seattle: How do you view Jerome Harrison in the Senior Bowl and do you think he can be and everydown back in the NFL?

sn2.gif
Scouts Inc.'s Todd McShay: (2:29 PM ET ) His size really concerns me. It's not necessarily the height but his lack of overal bulk. He will have a hard time handling a full load in the NFL. When push comes to shove he will level off as a very good No. 2, change of pace type back in the NFL. I don't think anyone would draft him with the thought of being a full-time starter.

sn2.gif
Scouts Inc.'s Todd McShay: (2:30 PM ET ) I appreciate all the great questions. Today we start to get a much better view of the guys and who is improving and who is disappointing. I'll be back tomorrow for more questions!

Alex (Palm Harbor, FL): Where's Buzz; what we got? I thought this pony show was goin' until 3:00.

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (2:36 PM ET ) Still here. Where would I go?

Richard (Krzyzewskiville): is this practice on ESPN right now live?

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (2:38 PM ET ) Yes! And in high def!

Phil (Cleveland): figured you would head out for food

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (2:39 PM ET ) Nah. That coconut creme pie was very filling. And have to start getting prepared for dinner. We're eyeing the Original Oyster House. Or a return trip to Dreamland Bar-B-Q.

Jim (New York, NY): What's the word on Michael Robinson, is he around to take a question or two?

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (2:41 PM ET ) He will be. He was going to do it earlier but a team official wanted to talk to him. We'll get him. Hopefully he won't read his ESPN.com evaluation first or he might not want to talk to us.

Matt- Bordentown NJ: Yo buzzmaster- If you had the 1st pick in the draft (assume you need every position) and you had to pick someone who's there at senior bowl practice (no one else) who do you take?

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (2:46 PM ET ) Hmm.. that's a good question because there isn't that one superstar player that overshadows everyone like in some years. The QB prospects are good but none of them are really great. Same for the RBs. I'd say D'Brickashaw Ferguson. McShay was right, that dude is a monster. He could anchor anybody's OL.

Batch (Beantown): Buzzmaster ever consider going by Master of Buzz? It carries more authority with it then your current title

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (2:49 PM ET ) Have to get promoted for that title.

Alex (Palm Harbor, FL): Matt, since Buzz is probably begging down Michael Robinson at the moment. I'll answer your question: D'Brickashaw Ferguson...because it don't matter who's got the ball if they don't have blockin'; just ask David Carr, Dom Capers, and the shoulda been fired Charley Casserly.

sn2.gif
Buzzmaster: (2:50 PM ET ) Hang on, gonna go cruise the lobby real quick .. be right back.

Nightmare's Dad, at the risk of getting off topic, the 04 OSU-scUM game is great, just watched it the other day.
Today I ordered the Fiesta Bowl off of the official OSU site == does anyone know how to get a LEGAL copy of the 2005 OSU/scUM game?? Would I have to go to abc??

I am not really big into watching old games, but I have the NC Fiesta Bowl, the 04 Mich game, the 04 Alamo Bowl.

Go Bucks!

The best program Espin has put on tv in a long time.

It was really cool to watch these guys go at it.

I tell you what Mangold might put himself in the late first or early second.

Same thing Jenkins did 2 years when he went from second round to first round b/c of his performance there.

It's going to be fun to watch Mangold in the game. I hope he does do well enough to jump into the first round. Perhaps a stellar performance Saturday will be enough to do it.
It is sad that the Senior Bowl marks the real end of the CFB season. Long stretch with only a few items of interest until September after it.
