High School Sep 9 Tx vs. Colerain HS Game (merged)

Sorry, I don't mean to come off like that.

We do have teams that run just a run oriented offense......but they usually have more yards than that in passing. Just because of big plays I would say.

I'm looking forward to the game and the buzz was around campus last week.

I wish I could see some film on Colerain from last year.
you can buy the state championship game on DVD from ONN.com or jjhuddle.com

Their uniforms are part of the appeal I guess....and would give the Buck fans something exciting.

It seems to me the Rockets are as dominant as they have ever been. We won it in 2002, played in it in 1998 and 1996 and won it in 1995. I think we have won 7 Championships in 15 years?

Either way....I like the team from Texas chances. There's so much talent down there.

Judson has success from playing in a weak REGION. Region 4 is the easiest way to get to the state championship until you get to the state semi-finals.

If Waco High and a bunch of several other teams were in Region 4 they would rule the house.

Waco High beats Judson every time they meet each other.

i watched colerain play in canton last year and they were by far the most domiante team i have ever seen. they are so dominant that they dont evne need to pass. its not that they CANT pass, there is just no need to. i dunno how they will do with all that is coming back but sherrer is definitely a great back and the line still seems good. the big question will be QB in the triple option.

No offense, but I am curious what Waco has done in recent memory other than their 11-1 season in 2002. Also, if there were many dominant teams in a single region then one team would not rule the house.

Waco has a solid team but they cannot really be talked about like judson. He is correct though about region 4. It is the weakest but only because of the far west texas teams. There are plenty of good teams in san antonio. In my oppinion region 3(houston area) and region 2(east texas) are the two toughest. It is safe to say, however, that i am biased being a graduate of Katy High. I didnt realize that Judson won it again in 02, Katy got moved down to 5A div. 2(hastings and elsik in the same district) so thats what I follow the most

Katy's a great team! They have had a good run the last ten years.

Back in my day the East Texas teams did well too....Yates, French, West Brook, etc.
I can remember a clearbrook team in 98that was the fastest team that I had ever seen(westbrook 96 or97 was a close second). Every one of their starters on defense( save their 300lb nosegaurd) ran a 4.6 or better. It was truely rediculous. They ran a triple option offense. You can imagine why with that kind of athletic ability. All week we kept hearing about how they were gonna hand us our asses. 48 mins later and 40-0 on the score board we were headed to san antonio for the semis. Problem was, in that blowout we managed to play a kid that hadn't passed.(he was the 4th string tight end and a senior who had forged his progress report just to be on the sideline) No one bothered to say anything to us about it until we beat san antonio mcarther and were getting on the busses to play midland lee in the state championship. I guess they decided that it would be a good time to tell us that we had been disqualified and would not be able to play in the state game. I have never been more frustrated watching cedrick benson(then a soph)run over an unprepared macarther team. I still think that we would have beat the crap out of lee.

p.s. I now feel like uncle rico, " How much you wanna make a bet I can throw a ball over them mountains?"
