PF Jaedon LeDee (transfer to TCU, transfer to San Diego St.)

Wonder of KBD is leaving after one more year. Similar height and body build.

Great addition to the Buckeyes.
I saw a quote from KBD a couple months ago saying he only wants to play this 1 year and leave with Tate, who he came in with. I also saw a quote from LeDee a couple days ago saying he likes how Holtman runs the offense through the 4 when asked why he was high on OSU. I assume the plan is for LeDee to replace Tate.

A Cal article from May about LeDee that gives a little bit of insight into his family. Dad played PG for Nevada in the nineties, and he trained Jaedon to be a PG once he saw the interest. Jaedon played PG for his high school as a 6'7" freshman! After that, he moved to the three. According to dad, Jaedon is 6-9, 225, and has the potential to add more inches. In conjunction with the other Youtube clips out there on this kid, I think it's safe to call him a beast. He is not lanky, at all. Looks like a rim-rattling Power Forward more in the Karl Malone or LeBron physical mold than a KBD. I have to see him play, but I don't know how he dropped. He isn't going to be shooting jumpers to butter his bread; he's going to be a skilled talent who makes his living in the paint!

For all of the work and near-misses experienced on the recruiting trail since taking the Ohio State job, Chris Holtmann knew it was going to take just one kid to get the ball rolling.

And after his official visit, Jaedon LeDee realized pretty quickly that he was that guy.

“We met the coaching staff and they all seem down to earth and it felt like home,” he told The Dispatch earlier this month. “Then I met the players. They were very cool, very fun kids, great kids. I just gelled really well with them. They took me around campus and I could see myself walking around there. It was a good experience.”

That visit took place during the weekend of Sept. 9, when the Buckeyes also hosted guard Luther Muhammad, who would later commit to the program as well. LeDee would still take another official visit, this one to Texas A&M, but he committed on Sept. 19 and opened the floodgates for three more commitments in the next five days.

Although one more trip was still on the calendar, LeDee said he was sold on the Buckeyes after his visit.

Went back and watched his old highlights and I see him as a 4 with a unique skill set to pass the ball (think Duncan) and with Kaleb also displaying an ability to pass out of the post as well, if they both can prove to be adequate finishers in the post, perimeter guards and wings will love both of these guys. I think I am smitten with the class Holtmann threw together in the 25th hour, and am also patiently waiting to see what he and the staff can do with a full calendar
