SG Kameron Williams (Sayago - Uruguay)

I think $300,000 is the reason ADV left:biggrin2: That would far outweigh any playing time if I were him.

Somehow I doubt that ADV would've left if he felt he was going to get regular minutes. Maybe you're right and he was gone regardless, certainly he had made up his mind that he was leaving in advance of the season ending with as quickly as he left.

Was at the Marquette game yesterday and Kam Williams was really impressive. Lead Ohio State with 15 points, hitting his first three 3-point attempts and looking like a throwback Jamie Skelton out there (even has his jersey number).

One of those guys no one was thinking about during the pre-season that looks like he's going to be more than a role player on this team. Excited for Kam!

Can you believe Kam Williams is as great a shooter as he is, with basically 4 years of eligibility left? Jon Diebler's 3-point record could be in jeopardy by the time Kam is done, seriously. Diebler struggled from 3 his first year and Kam hasn't appeared to be struggling at all. The only thing that might hurt Kam is Diebler played iron man minutes and it seems like there will be too much talent on the future teams to allow for that with Kam. Kam is more similar to Diebler than any other OSU player due to him being a great catch & shoot guy who doesn't do a lot in other areas of the game (note to Wigmon, I'm not saying they are exactly the same). To Kam's credit, he also seems to have a decent midrange game to help add to his scoring. But no doubt nailing the catch & shoot 3 is key to his role and he's already very good at it.

Flat out scorer. I think he could very possibly be B1G Sixth Man of the Year this season, and very easily lead the team in scoring even while coming off the bench. I don't want to make too much of a 2-game start to the season since that is an awfully small sample size, but this staff has always praised Kam and now we're seeing why.

When you see a guy like Kam shoot and score with such ease, you know he is a natural scorer. I love how he shoots mid-range just as good as he does the 3 ball...also can create shots for himself (which Diebler did not do very well). I think we will continue to see him pour the points in.

It is really a shame that he was unable to play last season because I think we would have been a much better team with him. He could always shoot the basketball and that is something that we desperately needed last season.

I wasn't happy that he redshirted last year. But at least he has almost four years left to be a reliable role player. Just hope people don't expect him to develop into much more than he is already, he is doing well at his role but is suspect with the ball in PG duties. Just not a point guard whatsoever. But don't be surprised if years from now people who want to nitpick will look back on Kam's career and wonder why he didn't develop into a PG, even though that isn't his game at all.

He only played 6 minutes against Illinois after shooting 6-13 on three's the last three games. With Loving and Russell shooting at steady clips, the talent that he brings to the table isn't in as great a demand this year, I guess. Anthony Lee's minutes shot up against Illinois. Don't know if this is how it's going to be in the B1G schedule, or if that is how Thad wanted to play the Illini.

I think we're going to see more of Jae'Sean and Keita off the bench than Kam, but I still think he will occasionally bring the thunder towards tournament time. He is shooting 44% from three and 88% from the line so far this year.
